PurePressure Longs Peak 8 Ton Rosin Press

Scale up your rosin production with the Pure Pressure Longs Peak rosin press.

Taking a cue from its predecessor, the Pikes Peak, the Longs Peak takes your automated production level to a whole new level, without sacrificing quality.

The Longs Peak also uses the trademark Pressware Technology, which lets you set the right amount of temperature and pressure in each press.

With two premium 6061 aluminum heat plates, the Longs Peak can press up to 35 grams of flowers, or 70 grams of Kief or Hash in one go with up to eight (8) tons of force. The heat plates can heat up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and even pre-heat without having to press.

The wrong amount of pressure produces terrible results. That’s why the Longs Peak gives you precision control over temperature and pressure, so you get the best results for each strain.

Once you have found your sweet spot, save it in 1 of the 29 presets slots so you can recall and get consistent results.

Can’t figure where to put it? The Longs Peak comes with two (2) sets of orientation legs, which lets you use the press either vertical or horizontal position.

All Longs Peak units are handmade*, so you can expect topnotch quality control in every machine.

Optional Automated Pressure Control

The APC system enables unparalleled force control at the touch of a button with the PurePressure Pressware® touchscreen interface. As opposed to manual force adjustments using the toggle lever of the Dual Pressure Control system, rosin press users control all force adjustments with extreme precision.

A single operator can run up to 3 presses simultaneously, taking advantage of this system’s fully-automated nature. Users can create custom recipes or have the machine learn recipes on-the-fly. With full pressure control at the tip of your fingers, adjust operating pressure by as little as 1 psi at a time.

This system was engineered for those who demand high output and have uncompromising attention to detail in their rosin press extractions.

Pressing Tips

Which Material Should I Use?

Yields range significantly and depend largely on the quality of the materials used.

  • Trim: 3% - 8%
  • Shake: 8% - 15%
  • Flower: 15% - 30%
  • Kief / Dry Sift: 30% - 60%+
  • Bubble Hash / Hash: 30% - 70%+

*Adequate application of pressure is important to achieve optimal yields and these figures are based on averages tests. Results may vary and depend heavily on your material as well as the operator.

Which Micron Bag To Use?

Depending on your material, the proper micron bags are suggested but results will always vary.

For kief, dry sift, hash, and bubble hash, use a 36 micron or 72-micron bag.

72-micron rosin bags will offer higher yields compared to 36-micron rosin bags, but the 36-micron bags will provide the highest quality product.

For the flower, trim, and shake, use a 115 micron or 90-micron bag.

You will get the highest yield from a 115-micron rosin bag compared with a 90-micron rosin bag, but the 90-micron bags will give you more filtration and slightly higher quality product.

36 micron - Most filtration available, highest quality output rosin for use with kief, dry sift, hash, and bubble hash

72 micron - High level of filtration, increased yields over 36 microns when pressing kief, dry sift, hash, and bubble hash

90 micron - A higher level of filtration for use with flower, trim and shake rosin pressing

115 micron - Ideal level of filtration and high yielding for use with flower, trim and shake rosin pressing

What Temperature Is Ideal?

  • Lower temperatures (200°F- 300°F) = more flavor/terpenes, less yield, end material is more stable (shatter-like consistency)
  • Higher temperatures (300°F- 350°F) = less flavor/terpenes, more yield, end material is less stable (sap-like consistency)

How Much Pressure Should I Use?

There is no magic number for how much you need to press but most people use the formula of press pounds/plate surface area.

For example:

A 10-ton press = 20,000 lbs. If you have a 3"x5" plate = 15 square inch.

Hence, 20,000/15 = 1,333 PSI

*These numbers serve as a guide only. Results will always vary depending on temperature and material as well the press you choose.

Great Customer Service

At first I was a little nervous about spending so much money on a press. Come to find out this was the best place to get the Longs Peak. The customer service at Trimleaf took great care of me. The Longs Peaks was everything I needed. I would definitely but from Trimleaf again.
