Who This Is For

  • You are scaling up your water production because your current setup fails to meet the demand of your larger footprint
  • You are switching to a centralized purification system because manual water handling limits your facility's expansion

What We Found

  • The 2 HP Grundfos pump provides the kind of steady pressure that keeps these membranes from fouling early
  • We appreciate the front-accessible gauges because they save you from having to crawl behind the frame for daily checks

What Users Say

  • Operators who integrated the AX-8000 controller say they spend less time monitoring pressure levels manually
  • Facilities that added this system report they no longer hit bottlenecks during their peak hydration cycles

Axeon N-6000 Reverse Osmosis System | 220V 6,000 GPD

Facilities outgrowing a two-membrane system need more than added capacity — they need a platform that scales efficiently. The Axeon N-6000 delivers 6,000 GPD (4.16 GPM) through a triple 4040 membrane array in a 1:1:1 vessel configuration, achieving 58% system recovery and 98.5% nominal TDS rejection. The step up to a 2 HP Grundfos booster pump and 11.0A draw reflects the N-6000's positioning as the entry point into mid-range commercial RO — still pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and factory-tested on arrival, but built for meaningfully higher sustained output.

Control is handled by the same AX-8000 Computer Controller found across the N-Series — real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated and manual flush cycles, low/high pressure alarms, and tank level input for automated shutoff. The larger 32 × 24 × 55 in frame accommodates the three-vessel array while keeping all instrumentation front-accessible. Feed, permeate, and concentrate connections step up to 1" FNPT on the N-6000, so plumb accordingly when planning your installation.

⚠ Feed Water Note: The Axeon N-6000 requires dechlorinated feed water. Maximum free chlorine is 0 ppm. Municipal water users must include an Axeon carbon pre-treatment stage upstream of this system to protect the membranes. For applications with high mineral content, utilizing membrane antiscalant can further extend the life of your elements.

Features

🖥️
AX-8000 Computer Controller

LCD backlit interface with real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated feed flush, manual flush, tank level input, and low/high pressure alarms.

💧
6,000 GPD / 58% System Recovery

FAQs

How does the N-6000 differ from the N-4000? +

The N-6000 adds a third membrane vessel to the N-4000's dual array, stepping output up to 6,000 GPD at 4.16 GPM versus the N-4000's 2.78 GPM. System recovery also improves significantly — 58% on the N-6000 versus 48% on the N-4000 — meaning less water goes to drain per gallon of purified output. The N-6000 also upgrades to a 2 HP pump, draws 11.0A (versus 8.5A), and uses a larger 32 × 24 × 55 in frame with 1" FNPT connections on all ports.

Does the N-6000 require dechlorinated feed water? +

Yes — the AXEON XE1-Series membrane elements have a maximum free chlorine tolerance of 0 ppm. Chlorinated municipal tap water will degrade the membranes if fed directly into the system. A carbon block or catalytic carbon pre-filter stage must be installed upstream before the N-6000.

What connection sizes does the N-6000 use? +

Unlike the N-2000 and N-4000, which use ½" QC for permeate and concentrate, the N-6000 steps up to 1" FNPT on all three ports — feed, permeate, and concentrate. Plan your plumbing accordingly before installation. The feed connection was already 1" FNPT on the smaller models, so only the permeate and concentrate lines require upsizing from prior installations.

What are the electrical requirements for the N-6000? +

The N-6000 runs on 220V single-phase power at 11.0A and 60 Hz — an increase from the 8.5A draw of the N-2000 and N-4000. Have a licensed electrician verify your panel can support a dedicated 220V/11A circuit before installation. The system ships pre-wired and ready to connect.

How often do the membranes and pre-filter need to be replaced? +

The 5-micron SDF-Series sediment pre-filter should be inspected monthly and replaced every 3–6 months depending on source water quality. The three XE1-Series membrane elements typically last 2–3 years under normal commercial use. Track permeate TDS via the AX-8000 controller — a sustained rise in TDS output is the clearest sign that membrane replacement is needed.

Is the N-6000 available in higher capacities? +

Yes — the AXEON N-Series continues with the N-8000, N-12000, and N-16000, all running on 220V with the same AX-8000 controller. The N-8000 through N-16000 models use the same 32 × 24 × 55 in frame as the N-6000, making an in-place upgrade straightforward if your electrical and plumbing infrastructure is already sized for it.
