Who This Is For

  • You are upgrading to a high-recovery system because your current setup dumps too much water down the drain when balancing your salt levels
  • You are integrating commercial-scale purification because your manual reservoir management limits how many cycles you can run per day

What We Found

  • The quad 4040 array provides a huge jump in output capacity without forcing you into the footprint of the larger dual-pump models
  • We recommend the optional cover for this unit because the extra layer keeps the electronics and pump housings clear of environmental debris

What Users Say

  • Operators who switched to this system say the automated flush cycles saved them from daily manual maintenance tasks
  • Facilities managers report that the integrated computer controller removed the guesswork from tracking TDS and feed pressure

Axeon N-8000 Reverse Osmosis System | 220V 8,000 GPD

The Axeon N-8000 brings together the highest system recovery in the compact N-Series tier — 65% — with an 8,000 GPD (5.56 GPM) output delivered through a quad 4040 membrane array in a 1:1:1:1 vessel configuration. For commercial grow facilities where water efficiency and purification capacity are equally critical, the N-8000 represents the most water-efficient unit in the N-Series before stepping into the dual-pump N-12000 and N-16000 models. It arrives pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and factory-tested on a 32 × 24 × 55 in powder-coated aluminum frame, which can be shielded by an optional Axeon N-Series Protective Cover.

The AX-8000 Computer Controller manages TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated and manual flush cycles, low/high pressure alarms, and tank level input (compatible with the Axeon Big Switch Series Float Switch) — the same automation platform running across the entire N-Series lineup. A 2 HP Grundfos multi-stage stainless steel booster pump at 3,480 RPM sustains consistent pressure across all four membrane vessels, while all three connection ports run 1" FNPT for straightforward integration into mid- to large-scale facility plumbing.

⚠ Feed Water Note: The Axeon N-8000 requires dechlorinated feed water. Maximum free chlorine is 0 ppm. Municipal water users must include a carbon pre-treatment stage upstream of this system.

Features

🖥️
AX-8000 Computer Controller

LCD backlit interface with real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated feed flush, manual flush, tank level input, and low/high pressure alarms.

💧
8,000 GPD / 65% System Recovery

Delivers 8,000 gallons per day at 5.56 GPM with 65% system recovery and 98.5% nominal TDS rejection — the highest recovery rate in the compact N-Series tier.

🔬
Quad 4040 Membrane Array

Four AXEON XE1-Series 4" × 40" membrane elements in a 1:1:1:1 vessel configuration deliver 33% more capacity than the N-6000 at the same 65% recovery rate as the N-16000.

Pre-Plumbed, Wired & Assembled

Arrives fully integrated and individually tested on its powder-coated aluminum frame. Connect feed, permeate, concentrate, and 220V power — no field assembly required.

🔩
2 HP Grundfos Multi-Stage Pump

A 2 HP stainless steel Grundfos multi-stage pump at 3,480 RPM maintains consistent pressure across all four membrane vessels for sustained rated output under continuous commercial demand.

FAQs

How does the N-8000 differ from the N-6000?+

The N-8000 adds a fourth membrane vessel to the N-6000's triple array, stepping output up to 8,000 GPD at 5.56 GPM versus 4.16 GPM. System recovery also improves — 65% on the N-8000 versus 58% on the N-6000 — making it the most water-efficient model in the compact N-Series tier. Both models share the same 2 HP pump, 11.0A electrical draw, 32 × 24 × 55 in frame, and 1" FNPT connections, so a facility already running the N-6000 can upgrade with minimal infrastructure changes.

Does the N-8000 require dechlorinated feed water?+

Yes — the AXEON XE1-Series membrane elements have a maximum free chlorine tolerance of 0 ppm. Chlorinated municipal tap water will degrade the membranes if fed directly into the system. A carbon block or catalytic carbon pre-filter stage must be installed upstream before the N-8000.

What does 65% system recovery mean in practice?+

System recovery is the percentage of feed water that becomes purified permeate output. At 65% recovery, the N-8000 converts 65 gallons of every 100 gallons fed into the system into purified water — sending only 35 gallons to drain. Compared to the N-2000's 32% recovery, the N-8000 is roughly twice as water-efficient per gallon produced, which meaningfully reduces water costs at commercial scale.

What are the electrical and plumbing requirements?+

The N-8000 runs on 220V single-phase power at 11.0A and 60 Hz. All three ports — feed, permeate, and concentrate — use 1" FNPT connections. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel supports a dedicated 220V/11A circuit before installation. The system ships pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and fully assembled with no field work required beyond making connections.

How often do the membranes and pre-filter need to be replaced?+

The 5-micron SDF-Series sediment pre-filter should be inspected monthly and replaced every 3–6 months depending on source water quality. The four XE1-Series membrane elements typically last 2–3 years under normal commercial use. Use the AX-8000's real-time TDS monitoring to track membrane performance — a sustained rise in permeate TDS is the primary indicator that replacement is due.

Is the N-8000 available in higher capacities?+

Yes — the AXEON N-Series continues with the N-12000 and N-16000, both running on 220V with the same AX-8000 controller. These models step up to 6-vessel and 8-vessel arrays respectively, with a minimum concentrate flow requirement of 6 GPM, so verify your drain capacity before upgrading.
