Who This Is For

  • You are scaling up your production because your current RO setup cannot keep pace with daily water demands.
  • You are integrating a new filtration line because your existing drain infrastructure is finally ready to handle a 6 GPM discharge.

What We Found

  • We suggest checking your pre-treatment filter life closely because the 6 GPM concentrate flow will eat through carbon stages if you run it hard.
  • The 2:2:2 vessel array is a massive upgrade over the 8000 because it actually maintains consistent pressure without dumping excessive energy into the pump.

What Users Say

  • Operators who switched to this system say they stopped worrying about fluctuating TDS levels during their largest irrigation cycles.
  • Facilities that installed this unit mention they saved hours on weekly maintenance because the integrated controller handles the flush cycles automatically.

Axeon N-12000 Reverse Osmosis System | 220V 12,000 GPD

The Axeon N-12000 is the entry point into the high-capacity tier of the N-Series — delivering 12,000 GPD (8.33 GPM) through a six-membrane, 2:2:2 vessel array that marks a meaningful architectural step up from the single-row configurations of the N-2000 through N-8000. With a minimum concentrate flow requirement of 6 GPM, the N-12000 is designed for large commercial grow facilities with the drain infrastructure to match. It arrives pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and factory-tested on a 32 × 24 × 55 in powder-coated aluminum frame at 240 lbs.

The AX-8000 Computer Controller manages the full automation stack — real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated and manual flush cycles, low/high pressure alarms, and tank level input compatible with an Axeon Big Switch Series Float Switch. A 2 HP Grundfos multi-stage stainless steel booster pump at 3,480 RPM drives consistent pressure across all six membrane vessels. All connections run 1" FNPT. At 58% system recovery and 98.5% nominal TDS rejection, the N-12000 delivers a strong balance of throughput and efficiency for facilities where daily water demand has outgrown an eight-membrane solution like the N-16000.

⚠ Feed Water Note: The Axeon N-12000 requires dechlorinated feed water. Maximum free chlorine is 0 ppm. Municipal water users must include a carbon pre-treatment stage upstream of this system, such as an Axeon Carbon 1252 filtration system, and may benefit from using Axeon S–200 Membrane Antiscalant to extend element life.

FAQs

How does the N-12000 differ from the N-8000?+

The N-12000 steps up to a six-membrane 2:2:2 dual-row vessel array versus the N-8000's single-row 1:1:1:1 configuration, delivering 12,000 GPD at 8.33 GPM — a 50% output increase. The minimum concentrate flow requirement also doubles from 3 GPM to 6 GPM, so verify your drain capacity before upgrading. Both models share the same 2 HP pump, 11.0A electrical draw, frame dimensions, and 1" FNPT connections.

Why does the N-12000 have 58% recovery when the N-8000 has 65%?+

System recovery is a function of membrane array configuration, not just membrane count. The N-12000's 2:2:2 dual-row architecture is optimized for maximum throughput at this capacity level rather than peak recovery efficiency. At 12,000 GPD output, 58% recovery still represents strong water efficiency — converting 58 gallons of every 100 fed into purified permeate — and the N-16000 returns to 65% recovery as the array scales further.

Does the N-12000 require dechlorinated feed water?+

Yes — the AXEON XE1-Series membrane elements have a maximum free chlorine tolerance of 0 ppm. Chlorinated municipal tap water will degrade the membranes if fed directly into the system. A carbon block or catalytic carbon pre-filter stage must be installed upstream before the N-12000.

What drain capacity does the N-12000 require?+

The N-12000 requires a minimum concentrate (drain) flow of 6 GPM — double the 3 GPM minimum of the N-2000 through N-8000 models. This is a critical infrastructure requirement to verify before installation. Insufficient drain flow can cause concentrate backpressure that reduces membrane performance and longevity.

What are the electrical and plumbing requirements?+

The N-12000 runs on 220V single-phase power at 11.0A and 60 Hz, with all three ports — feed, permeate, and concentrate — using 1" FNPT connections. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel supports a dedicated 220V/11A circuit. The system ships pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and fully assembled with no field work required beyond making connections.

Is there a higher capacity option in the N-Series?+

Yes — the N-16000 is the top model in the N-Series, delivering 16,000 GPD through an eight-membrane 2:2:2:2 vessel array at 65% system recovery. It shares the same 220V/11.0A electrical draw and 32 × 24 × 55 in frame as the N-12000, making it a straightforward upgrade path for facilities that have already sized their infrastructure for the N-12000.
