Who This Is For

  • You are scaling up your production because your current six-membrane system keeps hitting a capacity ceiling.
  • You are integrating a centralized filtration hub because your operation needs consistent water quality at scale.

What We Found

  • The AX-8000 controller saves you from constant manual checking because it handles the flush cycles for you.
  • The 2 HP Grundfos pump really holds pressure across all eight vessels, which prevents the flow drop seen in smaller rigs.

What Users Say

  • Facilities managers who switched from smaller units report they no longer have to stagger their water production schedules.
  • Growers who installed this in their utility bay say the pre-plumbed frame saved their team an entire day of installation.

Axeon N-16000 Reverse Osmosis System | 220V 16,000 GPD

The Axeon N-16000 is the highest-capacity model in the AXEON N-Series — delivering 16,000 GPD (11.11 GPM) through an eight-membrane 2:2:2:2 vessel array at 65% system recovery and 98.5% nominal TDS rejection. For large commercial grow facilities that have maxed out a six-membrane solution and need room to run, the N-16000 provides the throughput headroom without requiring a step up to a different product family or control platform. Like every N-Series unit, it arrives pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and factory-tested on a 32 × 24 × 55 in powder-coated aluminum frame — ready to connect on delivery. To ensure your unit stays in peak condition in high-traffic environments, consider adding an Axeon N-Series protective cover.

The AX-8000 Computer Controller handles real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated and manual flush cycles, low/high pressure alarms, and tank level input for hands-off production shutoff. A 2 HP Grundfos multi-stage stainless steel booster pump at 3,480 RPM drives consistent pressure across all eight membrane vessels. Minimum concentrate flow for the N-16000 is 6 GPM — confirm your drain infrastructure can handle this before installation. All connections are 1" FNPT.

⚠ Feed Water Note: The Axeon N-16000 requires dechlorinated feed water. Maximum free chlorine is 0 ppm. Municipal water users must include an Axeon carbon pre-treatment stage upstream of this system.

Features

🖥️
AX-8000 Computer Controller

LCD backlit interface with real-time TDS and temperature monitoring, pre-treatment lockout, automated feed flush, manual flush, tank level input, and low/high pressure alarms.

💧
16,000 GPD / 65% System Recovery

Delivers 16,000 gallons per day at 11.11 GPM with 65% system recovery and 98.5% nominal TDS rejection — the highest output and tied-best recovery in the N-Series lineup.

🔬
Eight-Membrane 2:2:2:2 Vessel Array

Eight AXEON XE1-Series 4" × 40" membrane elements in a 2:2:2:2 dual-row configuration — the largest array in the N-Series, adding two vessels over the N-12000's 2:2:2 layout.

Pre-Plumbed, Wired & Assembled

Arrives fully integrated and individually tested on its powder-coated aluminum frame. Connect feed, permeate, concentrate, and 220V power — no field assembly required.

🔩
2 HP Grundfos Multi-Stage Pump

A 2 HP stainless steel Grundfos multi-stage pump at 3,480 RPM maintains consistent pressure across all eight membrane vessels for sustained rated output under continuous commercial demand.

🏭
Assembled in the U.S.A.

Built with Pentair Big Grey filter housings, AXEON FRP membrane housings, and Parker/Seatech quick-connect fittings — assembled and individually tested domestically before shipment.

FAQs

How does the N-16000 differ from the N-12000?+

The N-16000 adds two membrane vessels to the N-12000's 2:2:2 array, stepping up to a 2:2:2:2 eight-vessel configuration and delivering 16,000 GPD at 11.11 GPM — a 33% output increase. Recovery also improves from 58% on the N-12000 to 65% on the N-16000, meaning more purified water per gallon fed. Both models share the same 2 HP pump, 11.0A electrical draw, frame dimensions, 6 GPM minimum concentrate flow requirement, and 1" FNPT connections.

Does the N-16000 require dechlorinated feed water?+

Yes — the AXEON XE1-Series membrane elements have a maximum free chlorine tolerance of 0 ppm. Chlorinated municipal tap water will degrade the membranes if fed directly into the system. A carbon block or catalytic carbon pre-filter stage must be installed upstream before the N-16000.

What drain capacity does the N-16000 require?+

The N-16000 requires a minimum concentrate (drain) flow of 6 GPM — the same as the N-12000 and double the 3 GPM minimum of the N-2000 through N-8000 models. Verify your facility's drain capacity can sustain this flow rate continuously before installation. Insufficient drain capacity can cause concentrate backpressure that degrades membrane performance and shortens service life.

What are the electrical and plumbing requirements?+

The N-16000 runs on 220V single-phase power at 11.0A and 60 Hz — the same electrical draw as the N-6000 through N-12000 models. All three ports use 1" FNPT connections. Have a licensed electrician confirm your panel supports a dedicated 220V/11A circuit. The system ships pre-plumbed, pre-wired, and fully assembled with no field work required beyond making connections.

How often do the membranes and pre-filter need to be replaced?+

The 5-micron SDF-Series sediment pre-filter should be inspected monthly and replaced every 3–6 months depending on source water quality. The eight XE1-Series membrane elements typically last 2–3 years under normal commercial use. Monitor permeate TDS via the AX-8000 controller — a sustained upward trend in TDS output is the primary indicator that membrane replacement is due across one or more vessels.

Which N-Series model is right for my facility?+

The N-Series spans 2,000 to 16,000 GPD across six models — N-2000, N-4000, N-6000, N-8000, N-12000, and N-16000. Size your system by calculating your facility's peak daily water demand and adding 20–30% headroom for growth. Note that the N-12000 and N-16000 require a 6 GPM minimum drain flow, while the N-2000 through N-8000 require only 3 GPM — factor in your drain infrastructure when selecting a model.
