Drip Hydro Cal Mag

Calcium and magnesium deficiencies are among the most common limiting factors in a grow, and standard base nutrients—including high-performance options like Drip Hydro Powder A and Powder B—don't always supply enough of either to keep pace with certain strains, mediums, or environments. Drip Hydro Cal Mag is a highly-concentrated calcium and magnesium supplement with a 2-0-0 N-P-K, built at a 4:1 calcium-to-magnesium ratio that's more concentrated than most other cal-mags on the market, designed for use throughout both the vegetative stage and Weeks 1-5 of flowering on any fruit or flower-producing plant.

Calcium is critical to plant development, needed in large amounts for the formation of cell walls and cell membranes, and it plays a vital role in medium structure. Because calcium is immobile within both the growing medium and plant tissue, a continuous supply must be available for plants to access and take up. Magnesium is the powerhouse behind photosynthesis — without it, chlorophyll can't capture the light energy plants need to convert into growth.

Cal Mag also supplies additional nitrogen and iron alongside its concentrated calcium and magnesium. While Drip Hydro's Base A and Base B formulas already contain calcium and magnesium, certain strains, growing mediums, and environments call for extra supplementation at a higher concentration. Dilute 1-2 mL (0.03-0.07 fl. oz) per 4 L (1 gallon) of water through Weeks 1-5 to help maximize your plants' genetic potential in any growing medium. To further enhance results during the bloom phase, this supplement works well with Drip Hydro Flex PK Booster and the biostimulant properties of Drip Hydro Ooze.

Dilute 1-2 mL (0.03-0.07 fl. oz) per 4 L (1 gallon) of water through Weeks 1-5 of any fruit or flower producing plant.

Do I still need Cal Mag if I'm using Base A and Base B?+

While Base A and Base B already contain calcium and magnesium, certain strains, growing mediums, and environments may require supplementation at a higher concentration, which is where Cal Mag comes in.

Why is calcium uptake so important for plants?+

Calcium is immobile in both the growing medium and plant tissue, so a continuous supply must be available for plants to access it for cell wall and membrane formation.

What role does magnesium play in Cal Mag?+

Magnesium is essential for photosynthesis, allowing chlorophyll to capture the light energy plants need to grow.

What else does Cal Mag contain besides calcium and magnesium?+

Cal Mag also includes additional nitrogen and iron to support overall plant nutrition alongside its concentrated calcium and magnesium.
