What is Venturi Valve Technology?+

Venturi Valve Technology is an advanced method for oxygenating water. As water is pumped through the system, the Venturi valve draws in air, creating millions of tiny bubbles that super-saturate the nutrient solution with dissolved oxygen. This eliminates the need for a separate air pump and airstones, which can clog and fail, leading to more robust root health and explosive plant growth.

Can this system be expanded later?+

Yes, absolutely. The V-System is designed to be modular and fully expandable. You can add more pots or rows as your operation grows, up to a maximum of 40 pots. We offer various sizes, from the smaller 4-pot system to larger 28-pot kits, making it easy to scale.

Is the V-System difficult to assemble and maintain?+

The system is designed for straightforward assembly with push-fit connections and stainless steel clamps. Maintenance is simplified due to the lack of airstones. Regular tasks include monitoring pH and EC levels and cleaning the reservoir and pots between cycles. The integrated filtration also helps keep the system running smoothly.

What is the difference between the V-System and an RDWC system?+

Both are highly effective deep water culture systems. The main difference is the oxygenation method. Traditional RDWC systems use air pumps and airstones in each pot, while the V-System uses a powerful water pump and Venturi injectors to create a vortex of highly oxygenated water. This often results in lower maintenance and more consistent dissolved oxygen levels.

What size water chiller is recommended for the 18-pot system?+

For an 18-pot system with a total fluid volume of nearly 300 gallons, a water chiller with a minimum capacity of 528 gallons (2000 L) is recommended. Maintaining an optimal nutrient solution temperature (around 65-68°F or 18-20°C) is crucial for preventing root diseases and maximizing nutrient uptake.
