Alien Hydroponics RAIN System - 2 Pot 1 Row

Tired of inconsistent watering and nutrient delivery holding back your plants? The Alien Hydroponics RAIN System eliminates the guesswork, providing a perfectly balanced, automated top-feed solution for growers who demand professional results on a smaller scale. Ideal for cultivating a few premium plants, this 2-pot kit is engineered to deliver exceptional growth.

By mimicking natural rainfall, the RAIN system ensures your entire root zone receives an even distribution of nutrients and oxygen. This innovative design prevents common issues like root rot, salt buildup, and nutrient lockout, allowing you to use various growing mediums with confidence. The entire Alien Hydroponics lineup is known for quality, and this system is no exception, featuring an easy, no-glue assembly that makes it accessible for beginners and a favorite among experienced hobbyists. For those starting even smaller, the 1 Pot Kit is also available.

Please note: A nutrient reservoir/tank is required to operate the RAIN system but is not included. We recommend GardenTank collapsible tanks, or you can supply your own.

FAQs

What makes the RAIN system different from other hydroponic methods?+

The RAIN system is a top-feed dripper system that mimics natural rain, ensuring the entire medium is evenly saturated with nutrient solution. This prevents dry pockets and encourages robust root growth. Unlike Deep Water Culture (DWC) systems, such as the Alien RDWC, it uses a growing medium like soil or coco coir rather than having roots suspended directly in water.

What growing media can I use with this system?+

The RAIN system is highly versatile and can be used with a variety of substrates, including soil, coco coir, clay pebbles, or any other preferred growing medium. Its efficient drainage system helps prevent waterlogging, which is a common issue with denser media.

Is the 2-pot kit suitable for beginners?+

Absolutely. The 2-pot kit is an excellent entry point into automated hydroponics. Its glue-free, snap-together design makes assembly straightforward, and the automated feeding schedule removes the daily chore of hand-watering, reducing the chance of human error.

Can I expand this system if I want to grow more plants?+

Yes, the RAIN system is designed to be modular and scalable. You can easily add more pots to your setup as your needs grow. If you know you'll need more capacity soon, you might consider starting with a larger kit like the 4 Pot 1 Row Kit.

What size water reservoir do I need?+

For a 2-pot system, a minimum reservoir capacity of 30 gallons (120 liters) is recommended. This ensures you have enough nutrient solution to run the system for an extended period without needing constant refills. A larger reservoir also helps maintain more stable pH and nutrient concentration levels.
