FAQs
How often should I replace my carbon filter?
The lifespan depends on usage, but with the reversible flanges, you can expect 18-24 months of effective odor control. Regularly check for diminished airflow or odor leakage.
Can I use this filter with a fan from another brand?
Yes, this filter is compatible with any 4" inline duct fan. For optimal performance and smart control, we recommend pairing it with an AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4.
What is the benefit of Australian Virgin charcoal?
Australian Virgin charcoal is considered one of the highest quality carbons for air filtration. It has a higher absorption capacity (IAV rating) and lower ash content, meaning it traps more odor molecules and lasts longer.
How do I wash the pre-filter?
Simply remove the cloth pre-filter from the main body and machine wash it on a gentle cycle with cold water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling.
Is this filter easy to install?
Absolutely. It's designed for straightforward installation. You can connect it to your ducting as either an intake filter (pulling air through) or an exhaust filter (pushing air through). For more tips, check out our guide on AC Infinity air filter kits.
What does the 210 CFM rating mean?
CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. This 210 CFM rating indicates the maximum volume of air the filter can process per minute without significant restriction, making it suitable for small to medium-sized grow tents. A great match for our 2'x4' grow tents.
