VIVOSUN 4" Pre-Filter Cloth for Inline Carbon Filter - Black | 2 Pack
Is dust and debris clogging your 4-inch carbon filter, forcing you to replace it sooner than you'd like? Protect your investment and maintain peak air quality with the VIVOSUN 4" Pre-Filter Cloth, the essential first line of defense for your ventilation system.
Specifically designed for compact setups, this pre-filter seamlessly integrates with any standard 4-inch carbon filter, making it ideal for smaller grow tents and personal growing cabinets. Crafted from premium 1.8mm thick PP cotton, it effectively captures hair, dust, lint, and other large particles before they can compromise your filter's charcoal bed. This not only extends the life of your main filter but also ensures your ventilation system, like those in our VIVOSUN air filtration kits, operates at maximum efficiency.
The custom-molded sleeve design allows for instant, tool-free installation and removal. Best of all, each pre-filter is fully washable and reusable, surviving multiple cleaning cycles without losing effectiveness. This makes it an economical and sustainable choice for any grower looking to save money and reduce waste.

FAQs
Is this pre-filter suitable for small grow tent setups?
Absolutely. The 4-inch size is specifically designed for compact spaces like the Vivosun 2' x 2' Grow Tent, stealth boxes, and personal growing cabinets where efficient air filtration is critical. For more tips on optimizing small spaces, check out our guide on the best small grow tents.
How does this pre-filter protect my carbon filter?
The 1.8mm thick PP cotton acts as a barrier, capturing larger particles like dust, hair, and pollen. This prevents the activated carbon in your Vivosun 4" Carbon Filter from clogging prematurely, which extends its lifespan and maintains its odor-neutralizing effectiveness.
Will this restrict airflow in my ventilation system?
No, the material is engineered to be highly breathable. It maintains optimal airflow so your inline fan can operate efficiently, ensuring your environment remains stable without putting extra strain on your equipment. It's a perfect addition to any 4-inch air filtration kit.
How often should I clean the pre-filter?
For optimal performance, we recommend checking and cleaning it every 2-4 weeks, depending on the dust levels in your environment. Simply hand wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry completely before reinstalling.
Can I install this without taking my whole setup apart?
Yes. The tool-free sleeve design allows you to easily slide the pre-filter on and off your existing 4-inch carbon filter. This is especially convenient in tight spaces where disassembling your ventilation system would be difficult.
