THROUGH THE Cultivator's LENS Hands-On Evaluation

  • You are moving away from manual scissor work because the repetitive motion is causing hand fatigue after long sessions.
  • You are looking to save hours of processing time because your current harvest scale has grown beyond what shears can manage.

  • The silicone sweeping curtains are a smart touch, they move plant material across the blade path without bruising it.
  • Changing blades takes about a minute, which is helpful when you switch between fresh harvests and dried biomass.

  • Buyers who moved to this unit say they cut their processing time by more than half compared to manual trimming.
  • Users mention the clear dome is a major plus because they can stop the rotation the second the plant material looks perfect.

Vivosun 19 Inch Manual Wet & Dry Bowl Trimmer

Hand-trimming a harvest with scissors takes hours per plant and wears out your hands long before the job is done. The Vivosun 19 Inch Bowl Trimmer turns that work into a few turns of a crank. Load buds onto the 19″ stainless steel mesh screen, close the clear dome, and rotate the handle. Food-grade silicone sweeping curtains roll the buds while a four-edged stainless steel blade beneath the 8 mm screen clips away leaf.

The Vivosun bowl trimmer handles both wet and dry trimming with three interchangeable blade types. The four-edged straight blade comes pre-installed for wet buds. For dry buds, swap in the four-edged serrated blade or one of the two included X-blades. Each blade change takes a single wing nut on the underside of the screen.

The clear dome gives you full visibility of the trim as it happens, and it seals to the stainless steel container so leaf stays contained. An anti-slip pad keeps the bowl steady on your work surface. Pruning shears and U-type scissors are included for cutting branches to fit and for fine touch-ups after the bowl does the bulk of the work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which blade should I use for wet vs. dry trimming? +

Use the four-edged straight blade, which comes pre-installed, for wet buds. For dry buds, switch to the four-edged serrated blade or one of the X-blades.

How do I change the blade? +

Unscrew the wing nut from the center bolt on the back of the mesh screen and remove the blade, holding its center with a soft cloth for safety. Install the new blade on the bolt, secure it with the washers and wing nut, and tighten. Always wear protective gloves when handling blades.

Can I install both X-blades at once? +

No. Install only one X-blade at a time and keep the second as a spare. This keeps the blade seated correctly against the screen.

How do I use the Vivosun 19 Inch Bowl Trimmer? +

Place the anti-slip pad under the container on a flat, stable surface, then load buds onto the mesh screen, using the shears to cut branches to fit. Close the dome so the curtain axis lines up with the screen axis, insert the handle, and rotate it clockwise. When you're done, open the dome and collect the trimmed buds.

What should I do if the sweeping curtains get stuck? +

Stop turning, open the dome, and adjust the curtains before continuing. Always rotate the handle in the same direction to keep the curtains and blade working smoothly.

What are the U-type scissors for? +

The U-type scissors are for fine touch-up trimming after the bowl has done the bulk of the work. The included pruning shears are for cutting branches or large buds down to fit on the screen before trimming.

How do I clean the bowl trimmer? +

Clean the main components after each use or on a regular basis. Remove the blade, then wipe sticky residue from the blade, sweeping curtains, screen, dome, and container with a damp cloth. Make sure everything is completely dry before reinstalling the blade.

What safety precautions should I follow? +

Wear protective gloves during assembly, use, cleaning, and blade changes, and never insert fingers or objects into the screen grid. Store blades securely with protective covers when not in use, and keep the trimmer out of reach of children.
