TrolMaster PPH-2 Inline & Reservoir pH Sensor

The TrolMaster PPH-2 is a dual-use pH probe that monitors nutrient solution pH either inline within an existing PVC piping system or as a drop-in in a reservoir — giving you more installation flexibility than a reservoir-only probe without requiring a full replumb. It connects directly to the AMP-2 sensor board via BNC terminal, feeding live pH readings to your TrolMaster controller for real-time monitoring. A 3.6-meter cable provides flexible positioning in either configuration, and the PPH-2's application range extends to aquariums and laboratories wherever accurate, ongoing pH tracking is needed.

TrolMaster backs the PPH-2 with a 3-year warranty from the original date of purchase, covering all mechanical and electronic components under normal operating conditions. Components that fail due to abnormal or improper usage are excluded from this coverage.

Important — pH probe storage requirement: pH probes must be stored with the protective storage cap in place and filled with the correct probe storage solution at all times. A probe that is allowed to dry out completely will permanently damage the sensor element and is explicitly excluded from warranty coverage. Any probe returned without the storage cap or in a dried-out state will not be eligible for a warranty claim.


FAQs

What does the PPH-2 measure?+

The PPH-2 measures the pH level of nutrient solution — either inline within a PVC piping system or submerged in a reservoir. When connected to an AMP-2 sensor board, the pH reading is passed to the TrolMaster controller and displayed on both the sensor board's LCD and the master controller screen simultaneously.

What is the difference between the PPH-1, PPH-2, and PPH-3?+

All three probes measure pH and connect via BNC terminal, but they differ in installation capability and sensor board support. The TrolMaster PPH-1 is a reservoir drop-in probe compatible with AMP-2 only. The PPH-2 adds inline PVC piping compatibility alongside reservoir drop-in use, also on AMP-2. The PPH-3 is a redesigned version with a reduced-diameter sleeve and threaded body for direct installation into standard ¾" PVC tee fittings, and is compatible with both AMP-2 and AMP-3 boards — making it the most versatile option for inline installations and AMP-3-based controller setups.

Which sensor boards and controllers is the PPH-2 compatible with?+

The PPH-2 is compatible with the AMP-2 sensor board, used with the TrolMaster Aqua-X NFS-1 controller. It connects via BNC terminal directly to the AMP-2 with no additional adapters. For setups using AMP-3-based controllers such as the Aqua-X NFS-2 or NFS-3 irrigation control system, the PPH-3 is the appropriate pH probe.

Can the PPH-2 be installed inline in a PVC piping system?+

Yes — the PPH-2 supports inline installation in PVC piping systems in addition to reservoir drop-in use. For installations specifically requiring a standard ¾" PVC tee fitting connection, the PPH-3 features a redesigned threaded body and reduced-diameter sleeve purpose-built for that fitting type. The PPH-2 is the practical choice when existing piping accommodates it and AMP-2 is the sensor board in use.

How should I store the PPH-2 when it's not in use?+
