FAQs
How does the automated cleaning process work?
Simply attach your AirThread Tension Tumbler and brush bar to the dedicated mounting points inside the washer. Fill the 9-gallon basin with your preferred cleaning solution and warm water. The IP67-rated motor rotates the components at 72 RPM, ensuring thorough cleaning of all surfaces including hard-to-reach areas. The automated process completes in just 5 minutes.
Which Mobius trimmer components can this washer clean?
The washer is specifically designed for cleaning the M108S trimmer's AirThread Tension Tumbler and brush bar. These are the most time-consuming components to clean manually due to their intricate design. The mounting points are custom-fitted for these components to ensure proper positioning during the automated cleaning cycle.
What cleaning solutions can I use?
You can use any cleaning solution recommended for cannabis processing equipment that's compatible with stainless steel. Common options include food-grade degreasers, isopropyl alcohol solutions, or specialized cannabis equipment cleaners. Always mix with warm water according to the solution manufacturer's recommendations. The stainless steel construction and IP67-rated motor are designed to handle various cleaning agents.
How much time does this save compared to manual cleaning?
Manual cleaning of the AirThread Tumbler and brush bar typically takes 30 minutes of soaking and scrubbing. The automated washer completes the same job in just 5 minutes—a time savings of 83%. This means less downtime between batches and the ability to run more trimming cycles per day, significantly improving your operational efficiency, from trimming to final sorting with complementary machines like the M9 bud sorter.
What safety features does the washer include?
The washer features automatic shutoff when the lid is opened, preventing the motor from running during loading or unloading. All components are built using safety-compliant materials meeting UL, CSA, CCC, EN, and CE standards. The IP67-rated motor is specifically designed for washdown applications and is protected against water ingress.
How do I drain the used cleaning solution?
The washer includes a 1.5-inch brass drain spout located at the bottom of the basin. You can attach a standard hose to the spout for easy disposal of used cleaning solution into a sink, drain, or collection container. The brass construction resists corrosion from cleaning chemicals, ensuring long-lasting performance.
What are the power requirements?
The Tumbler and Brush Washer operates on standard single-phase 115V power at 1.5 amps, making it compatible with most facility electrical systems. The 1/8 HP motor provides sufficient power for effective cleaning while maintaining relatively low energy consumption.
How durable is the washer construction?
The washer features rugged stainless steel construction throughout, providing excellent durability and resistance to corrosion from cleaning chemicals. At 270 pounds, the unit is solidly built for commercial use. Despite its size, it still fits through standard 32-inch doorways for facility placement flexibility. The construction quality reflects Mobius's commitment to premium commercial equipment.
