Who This Is For

  • You are installing a permanent drainage solution because emptying water buckets twice a day disrupts your workflow.
  • You are adding climate redundancy because a single equipment failure can cause humidity spikes that stall crop growth.
  • You are prioritizing equipment lifespan because your current dehumidifier keeps icing up in cooler environments.

What We Found

  • The internal pump is a lifesaver when you need to route water up into a reservoir instead of across the floor.
  • We find the metal housing handles the bumps and scrapes of a busy room much better than plastic home models.
  • Rinsing the filter every two weeks is the easiest way to keep the amperage draw from creeping up over time.

What Users Say

  • Operators tell us they stopped worrying about overflow buckets once they swapped to this unit with its built-in pump.
  • Users say the tool-free filter access makes it actually possible to stay on top of maintenance during peak season.
  • Buyers report that the auto-restart feature saved their crop after local grid work caused multiple power resets.

Ideal-Air Pro Series Dehumidifier | 100 Pints/Day

The Ideal-Air Pro Series 100 Pint Dehumidifier brings commercial-grade construction to mid-sized grow operations that need reliable grow room dehumidifiers for hands-off moisture control. Rated at 100 pints per day at actual grow room conditions (86°F/80% RH), it draws 6.75 amps at 728 watts on standard 115V single-phase power — and the built-in internal condensate pump eliminates gravity drain constraints entirely. A powder-coated metal casing, heavy-duty compressor with R410A refrigerant, and built-in defrost rated down to 41°F give this unit the durability to run continuously in demanding environments. For higher capacity needs, see the Ideal-Air Pro Series | 180 Pints/Day.

Important: Ideal-Air recommends using a surge protector and a dedicated electrical circuit with this unit. A voltage spike during power restoration after an outage can damage the circuit board, which is not covered under warranty. Set the unit upright on its feet for a minimum of 3 hours before first use.

Features

💧
Internal Condensate Pump

Built-in pump actively routes collected water out without relying on gravity, giving you full flexibility in drain placement regardless of room layout.

⚙️
Heavy-Duty Compressor

Industrial-grade compressor with R410A refrigerant sustains 100 pints of daily moisture removal under continuous grow room operating conditions.

❄️
Built-In Defrost to 41°F

Engineered to operate down to 41°F, the automatic defrost system prevents coil icing and maintains consistent output in cooler grow environments.

🏗️
Powder-Coated Metal Casing

Durable powder-coated metal construction resists corrosion in high-humidity environments, extending the operational lifespan of the unit.

📟
Digital Display & Auto Restart

Easy-to-read digital humidity display paired with automatic restart resumes operation at previous settings after any power interruption.

🧹
Removable & Washable Filter

Quick-access filter pulls out for rinse cleaning, maintaining airflow efficiency and protecting the compressor without tools or service calls.

FAQ

How is the 100 Pint capacity rated — is it AHAM or grow room conditions? +

The 100 pints/day rating is measured directly at grow room conditions of 86°F and 80% relative humidity — so it reflects real-world performance in your environment. Unlike the smaller Ideal-Air 50 Pint Dehumidifier, the Pro Series capacity figures are not AHAM re-rated values. If you are unsure which unit is right for you, learn how to choose a dehumidifier for your grow room.

Does this unit require a dedicated electrical circuit? +

Yes. Ideal-Air strongly recommends a dedicated electrical circuit and a surge protector for this unit. A voltage spike during power restoration after an outage can damage the circuit board, which is not covered under warranty. At 6.75 amps and 728 watts, it should not share a circuit with other equipment like high-output Ideal-Air Pro Series Ultrasonic Humidifiers.

How does the internal condensate pump work? +

The built-in condensate pump actively pushes collected water out of the unit rather than relying on gravity, allowing you to route drainage upward or horizontally to a sink, drain, or reservoir. This eliminates the need for the unit to be positioned directly adjacent to a floor drain.

What is the minimum operating temperature? +

The Pro Series 100 Pint is designed to operate down to 41°F thanks to its built-in automatic defrost system. This prevents coil icing in cooler environments and allows the unit to maintain consistent moisture removal across a temperature range of 41°F to 95°F. For more details on ideal ranges, consult our grow room temp and humidity chart.

Will the unit restart automatically after a power outage? +

Yes. The auto-restart function resumes operation at the previous settings after power is restored. However, Ideal-Air strongly recommends using a surge protector since voltage spikes during power restoration can damage the circuit board — and that type of damage is not covered under warranty.

Is there anything I need to do before using the unit for the first time? +

Yes. Set the unit upright on its feet for a minimum of 3 hours before powering it on for the first time. This allows the refrigerant and compressor oils to settle properly after shipping, which protects the compressor from damage on first start.

How do I maintain the filter? +

The filter is fully removable and washable — pull it out, rinse under water, allow it to dry completely, and reinsert. Regular cleaning maintains optimal airflow, protects the compressor, and helps sustain peak moisture removal performance over the life of the unit.
