How does the internal condensate pump work? +

What is the minimum operating temperature? +

The Pro Series 100 Pint is designed to operate down to 41°F thanks to its built-in automatic defrost system. This prevents coil icing in cooler environments and allows the unit to maintain consistent moisture removal across a temperature range of 41°F to 95°F. Will the unit restart automatically after a power outage? +

Yes. The auto-restart function resumes operation at the previous settings after power is restored. However, Ideal-Air strongly recommends using a surge protector since voltage spikes during power restoration can damage the circuit board — and that type of damage is not covered under warranty.

Is there anything I need to do before using the unit for the first time? +

Yes. Set the unit upright on its feet for a minimum of 3 hours before powering it on for the first time. This allows the refrigerant and compressor oils to settle properly after shipping, which protects the compressor from damage on first start.

How do I maintain the filter? +
