Who This Is For

  • You are prioritizing clean inputs because your current nutrient regimen is failing due to salt and mineral buildup.
  • You are switching to a higher efficiency system because your water bill reflects massive waste from your current unit.

What We Found

  • The 2:1 waste ratio is the real win here as most stock units in this range dump way more water down the drain.
  • That stainless gauge is a game changer for spotting a clogged sediment filter before the membrane gets ruined.

What Users Say

  • Users report their nutrient mixing has become much more predictable since switching to this purified water source.
  • Growers say they spend significantly less time on maintenance because the flush valve keeps the system flowing.

GrowoniX GX200 200 GPD Reverse Osmosis Filter

Poor water quality is one of the most overlooked variables in a productive grow — elevated TDS, chlorine, and chloramines silently compromise nutrient uptake and overall crop health. The GrowoniX GX200 eliminates that variable with a single High Flow membrane that outperforms competing dual-membrane systems in its class, delivering 200 gallons per day of purified RO water at an industry-leading 2:1 waste ratio. For gardens requiring higher output, the GrowoniX GX400 provides double the production with the same high efficiency.

The GX200 is engineered for growers who demand precision at every stage. A 2.5" stainless steel liquid-filled pressure gauge — uncommon at this unit size — is integrated into GrowoniX's patented GX Series bracketing system for accurate real-time monitoring. A manual flush valve lets you actively clean the membrane, purging accumulated contaminants before they degrade system performance. The included Eco Green Coconut Carbon filter handles chlorine reduction for up to 16,000 gallons, and the high-flow pleated sediment filter is fully washable and reusable to keep long-term maintenance costs down.

Two membrane configurations are available: the GXM200-HF High Flow membrane for maximum output at 200 GPD, and the GrowoniX 150 GPD membrane for the lowest possible TDS at 150 GPD. For city water with chloramines or well water with iron and hydrogen sulfide, the optional KDF85/Catalytic Carbon Mix upgrade lasts twice as long as the standard carbon filter and adds bacteriostatic protection to prevent microbial growth inside the housing.

Product Overview

Features

💧
200 GPD Single-Membrane Output

One High Flow membrane outperforms dual-membrane systems in its class, delivering 200 gallons per day with 50% greater efficiency than traditional RO units.

2:1 Industry-Leading Waste Ratio

Two gallons of purified water produced for every one gallon sent to drain — cutting water waste in half compared to standard 4:1 systems.

🔧
Manual Membrane Flush Valve

Built-in flush valve routes full feed-water pressure through the membrane to purge TDS and mineral buildup, actively extending membrane service life.

📊
2.5" Stainless Steel Pressure Gauge

Liquid-filled stainless steel gauge delivers accurate real-time pressure readings — an uncommon feature at this system size and price point.

🌿
Washable Reusable Sediment Filter

The high-flow pleated sediment filter is fully washable and reusable, reducing consumable costs while maintaining consistent pre-filtration performance.

🔄
Auto Shutoff Valve

Provides positive automatic shutoff when used with a float valve, preventing overflow and protecting downstream reservoirs and equipment.

FAQs

How does the GX200 produce 200 GPD with only one membrane? +

The GX200 uses the GXM200-HF High Flow membrane, which is engineered to deliver 50% more water production than conventional membranes of the same size. This allows the system to match or exceed the output of competing units that rely on two membranes while maintaining a more compact and efficient footprint.

What does a 2:1 waste ratio actually mean? +

The 2:1 ratio means the GX200 produces 2 gallons of purified permeate water for every 1 gallon discharged as waste. Standard RO systems typically operate at a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio, so the GX200 cuts water waste by up to 50% — a meaningful difference in operating costs over time.

What is the difference between the GXM200-HF and GXM150 membranes? +

The GXM200-HF is a High Flow membrane optimized for maximum throughput at 200 GPD, with a slightly higher output TDS compared to the alternative. The GXM150 is an Ultra High Rejection membrane that produces the lowest possible TDS at 150 GPD — best suited for applications where water purity is the top priority over flow rate.

Can the GX200 remove chloramines from city water? +

The included Eco Green Coconut Carbon filter is rated for chlorine reduction only and is not effective against chloramines. For city water treated with chloramines, GrowoniX recommends upgrading to the optional KDF85/Catalytic Carbon Mix, which handles chloramines as well as iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals, and lasts twice as long as the standard green carbon filter.

How and when should I flush the membrane? +

The GX200 includes a manual flush valve that routes full feed-water pressure through the membrane to purge accumulated TDS, minerals, and contaminants. Flushing is recommended during initial start-up and as part of routine maintenance — refer to the Flushing Filters & Initial Start-Up video above for a step-by-step walkthrough.

What water pressure does the GX200 require? +

The GX200 requires a minimum feed pressure of 45 psi and accepts up to 80 psi. Most standard residential and commercial water lines operate in the 50–70 psi range, making the system compatible with the majority of facilities without the need for a GrowoniX booster pump.

Does the GX200 require additional pre-filters? +

No additional pre-filters are required for standard municipal water. The included coconut carbon filter and washable sediment filter provide sufficient pre-treatment right out of the box. For well water or high-chloramine city water, replacing the standard carbon filter with the optional KDF85/CAT upgrade covers all necessary pre-filtration without adding extra inline stages.
