FAQs
How often should I replace the Charco Plus filter?
This filter is designed for a long lifespan, lasting up to 18 months of continuous use. You should also wash or replace the included pre-filter every 4-6 months to maximize the carbon filter's effectiveness.
What size fan is compatible with this filter?
The Charco Plus 8'' x 40'' filter comes with a pre-installed 8-inch flange, making it compatible with any 8-inch inline fan. For best results, pair it with a fan that has a similar or slightly higher CFM rating, like those in our inline fan systems collection.
Can this filter be used for applications other than indoor gardening?
Yes, while it's ideal for grow rooms, this activated carbon filter is effective in any environment where odor control is needed, such as workshops, kitchens, or basements.
How do I install the carbon filter in my grow tent?
Typically, the carbon filter is the first component in your ventilation system, placed inside the tent. It connects via ducting to your inline fan, which then pushes the filtered air out. For a detailed walkthrough, check out our complete grow room setup guide.
Does the filter come with the pre-filter?
Yes, every Charco Plus filter includes a fitted white pre-filter sleeve. This outer layer catches larger particles like dust and hair, extending the life of the internal activated carbon.
