FAQs
How often should I replace the Charco Plus filter?
The filter is designed to last up to 18 months. However, its exact lifespan can vary depending on usage intensity, humidity levels, and the concentration of odors in the environment.
What is the main benefit of using virgin activated carbon?
Virgin activated carbon has a higher absorption capacity because its porous structure has not been previously saturated. This allows it to trap more odor molecules and airborne impurities than recycled carbon, resulting in more effective and longer-lasting filtration.
Is the pre-filter washable?
Yes, the included pre-filter is completely washable. We recommend cleaning it every 3-6 months to remove dust and debris, which helps maintain optimal airflow and extends the life of the main carbon filter.
What size fan is compatible with this 8-inch filter?
This filter is designed for an 8-inch flange and works best with an 8-inch inline fan. For best results, choose a fan with a CFM rating that is close to or slightly higher than the filter's 710 CFM rating to ensure effective air scrubbing without restricting airflow.
