Active Aqua 1" Extension Fitting - Pack of 10

Maintaining the perfect flood depth is critical for root health, but fixed-height drainage ports often fall short when switching to taller containers or specialized substrates. The Active Aqua Extension Fitting provides a simple, modular solution to raise the fill and drain levels within your ebb and flow hydroponic system. By extending the height of your overflow port, these 1" fittings ensure that nutrient solutions reach the root zone of your largest plants. They are designed to integrate seamlessly with the Active Aqua 1 inch fill and drain fitting to prevent system failure.

FAQ

How do I install these extension fittings? +

These fittings are designed to snap or thread directly onto your existing 1" flood and drain bulkhead. No tools are required, and they can be easily removed for cleaning between cycles.

Can I stack multiple extensions to reach a specific height? +

Yes, the modular design allows you to stack several extensions on top of each other. This is ideal for reaching the drainage height required for exceptionally deep flood trays or tall pots.

Will this extension work with Active Aqua flood trays? +

Absolutely, these are official Active Aqua components specifically designed for their flood and drain systems. They provide an airtight, secure fit when paired with standard Active Aqua bulkheads or used within an Active Aqua 2.0 Ultra-Low Tray.

Do these fittings affect the drainage speed? +

Because they maintain a full 1-inch internal diameter, they do not restrict water flow. Your system will continue to drain efficiently into your 100 gallon reservoir while maintaining the new, higher water level.

Are these extensions safe for organic gardening? +

Yes, all Active Aqua extensions are made from high-quality, BPA-free plastic. They are chemically inert and safe for use with any nutrient solution or crop type.
