FAQs
How often should I wash the pre-filter?
We recommend checking the pre-filter monthly and washing it whenever you notice a significant buildup of dust. For typical use, washing every 1-2 months is a good practice. It should be replaced after approximately 6 months.
Will this pre-filter reduce my fan's airflow?
No, the pre-filter is made from a highly breathable polyester material specifically designed to capture particles without restricting the airflow of your ventilation system.
Is this compatible with other brands of 8" carbon filters?
This pre-filter is specifically designed for a perfect fit on AC Infinity 8" carbon filters. While it may fit other brands, we cannot guarantee compatibility or optimal performance.
How do I wash the pre-filter cloth?
You can wash it by hand with mild soap and water or put it in a washing machine on a gentle cycle. Always let it air dry completely before reinstalling it on your carbon filter.
What's the benefit of using a pre-filter?
The main benefit is extending the life of your carbon filter. By trapping dust and larger particles, the pre-filter prevents the activated carbon from getting clogged, ensuring it remains effective at odor elimination for much longer. For more details, check out our in-depth guide on AC Infinity air filter kits.
Does this come with the carbon filter?
No, this product includes two (2) replacement pre-filter cloths only. The carbon filter is sold separately.
