Yes, the 6" Duct Silencer is compatible with any 6-inch inline fan or ducting. However, for guaranteed fit and optimal performance, we recommend pairing it with an AC Infinity CLOUDLINE fan.

Where should I install the silencer for the best results?+

For maximum noise reduction, install the silencer directly on the output side of your inline fan, before the ducting run. You can also install a second one on the intake side for even quieter operation. For an extra secure fit, consider using an AC Infinity Noise Reduction Clamp.

Does the silencer reduce airflow (CFM)?+

The silencer is designed with an aerodynamic profile to minimize any impact on airflow. While any object in the airstream can cause a minor reduction in CFM, the effect of this silencer is negligible and will not significantly impact the performance of your ventilation system.

What's the difference between the 4", 6", and 8" models?+

The only difference is the diameter of the duct opening. You should choose the model that matches your fan and ducting size. This is the 6" model, but we also offer the 4" Duct Silencer and the 8" Duct Silencer for different setups.
