XTrays Drain Fitting Screen Not Threaded – 10 Pcs/Pack

The screen acts as a filter at the drain outlet of your flood table. During the drain cycle, nutrient solution passes through freely while the screen retains growing media — clay pebbles, rockwool fragments, coco coir — preventing substrate particles from entering the drain line, pump intake, and reservoir where they would cause clogging and contamination over time.

A threaded fitting screws into the drain port and creates a fixed, sealed connection. A non-threaded fitting seats into the port without threading, making it faster to install and remove — particularly useful during media changes and between-cycle cleanouts where repeated access to the drain port is needed.

This fitting is purpose-made for XTrays flood and drain tables with 1" drain ports. It is a manufacturer-matched component designed to seat correctly in XTrays table drain openings without modification.

Screen fittings should be inspected at the end of every cycle and replaced if the screen shows signs of clogging, deformation, or damage that could compromise flow rate or filtration. Keeping a pack of spares on hand allows immediate replacement without disrupting the start of a new cycle.

The screen fitting is effective with most common hydroponic growing media including clay pebbles (hydroton), rockwool, and coco coir. Very fine or powdery substrates may require a finer screen mesh — confirm media particle size against screen aperture if using an unconventional substrate.
