FAQs
How does this protect my carbon filter?
The 1.8mm thick PP cotton acts as a barrier, capturing large particles like dust, hair, and pollen. This prevents the pores of your 6" air carbon filter from clogging, which maintains its odor-neutralizing effectiveness and significantly extends its lifespan.
Is this prefilter suitable for grow tent ventilation systems?
Absolutely. The 6-inch size is perfect for the ventilation systems commonly found in indoor gardens, including the popular VIVOSUN 4' x 4' Smart Grow Tent Kit. It ensures your air remains clean without restricting crucial airflow.
Will this pre-filter affect my fan's performance?
No, the material is specifically designed to be highly breathable. It allows for unobstructed air passage, so your inline fan will continue to operate at its rated CFM without any added strain.
How often should I clean the pre-filter?
For optimal performance, we recommend washing the pre-filter every 2-4 weeks, depending on the dust levels in your environment. Simply rinse with warm water and mild detergent, let it air dry completely, and slide it back on. Maintaining a clean pre-filter is key to a healthy grow room environment.
Do you offer other sizes or colors?
Yes, we do. This pre-filter is also available as a 6" black pre-filter for a different aesthetic. If your ventilation system uses a smaller duct size, we also offer a compatible 4" white pre-filter.
