Vivosun 6-Pack 240-Cell Seed Starter Kit with 2 LED Light Sets & 2 Seedling Heat Mats

Seeds started in a cold room under weak window light germinate slowly and unevenly, then stretch into thin, leggy seedlings. The Vivosun 6-Pack 240-Cell Seed Starter Kit controls the three things that matter most at this stage: root-zone warmth, light, and humidity. Six 40-cell trays give you 240 cells in total. Two thermostat-controlled heat mats warm the root zone from 34°F to 122°F, and two dimmable 5000K LED light sets mount right on the domes.

Each tray set includes a black 40-cell insert, a base tray, and a clear humidity dome with 3.6" of headroom. Two adjustable vents on each dome let you fine-tune humidity and temperature as seedlings develop, and a center handle lifts the dome without disturbing the trays. Drainage holes in every cell help prevent overwatering, and the black cells support healthy root growth.

The LED bars run on four brightness levels (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) and three timer cycles: 8, 12, or 18 hours on. Each heat mat's digital controller shows both the real and set temperature, and its IP67-rated surface stands up to drips and spills. Fill the cells with soil or rockwool cubes, then transplant seedlings to pots or the garden when they're ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many seedlings can I start with this kit? +

The kit includes six 40-cell trays, for 240 cells in total. With two heat mats and two LED light sets, you can heat and light two tray sets at a time while the rest start under your own conditions.

How do I set the heat mat temperature? +

Press ON/OFF to start heating at the default 95°F, then use the + and − buttons to set your target between 34°F and 122°F. The display shows both the SET TEMP and the REAL TEMP. The screens turn off after a period of inactivity; press + or − to wake them.

Will the heat mat remember my temperature setting? +

Turning the mat off with the ON/OFF button keeps your current setting. Unplugging the power cord or a power outage resets it, so you'll need to set the temperature again.

Where should I place the heat mat? +

Unfold the mat on a flat, stable, dry surface free of sharp objects, then set the tray on top. Never place the mat inside the tray, cover it with soil, or put insulating materials over it. The mat is for indoor use only and shouldn't be used in water, despite its water-resistant surface.

How do the LED light settings work? +

The inline controller offers four brightness levels (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) and three timer cycles: 8 hours on/16 off, 12 on/12 off, or 18 on/6 off. The 5000K bars mount on the dome to bring light close to young seedlings.

Can I use rockwool instead of soil? +

Yes. The cells work with soil-based seed starting mix or rockwool cubes. When seedlings are ready, remove them from the cells and transplant them into pots or your garden.

How do I use the dome vents? +

Rotate each vent cover to open or close the airflow holes. Keep the vents more closed for higher humidity during germination, then open them gradually to lower humidity and temperature as seedlings grow.
