Most seeds germinate best in a temperature range of 70-85°F (21-29°C). This heat mat allows you to precisely dial in the perfect temperature for your specific plant type, ensuring higher success rates. Thanks to its advanced far-infrared technology, the mat heats up very quickly. In a typical room with an ambient temperature of 68-77°F, it can reach 104°F in just a few minutes.
Yes, absolutely. The mat is designed for seedling trays and flats to be placed directly on its surface. The double-insulated heating film provides gentle, even heat that promotes germination without scorching delicate roots.
Yes, it is perfectly safe. The heat mat has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected from water and humidity, making it ideal for use in grow tents and other high-humidity propagation environments.
Far-infrared technology radiates heat more evenly and gently than traditional resistance coils. This prevents hot spots that can damage roots and ensures that every seedling on the tray receives consistent warmth, leading to more uniform germination and growth.
Cleaning is simple. First, always unplug the mat from the power source. Thanks to its waterproof surface, you can wipe it down with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals to ensure the longevity of the mat.
