Bottle-Tech Style involves packing the bag so it stands upright on the press plates, resembling a bottle or barrel. This technique concentrates the material into a cylindrical puck, which helps distribute pressure more evenly and can significantly increase your yields by maximizing the extraction surface area.

While not strictly necessary, using a pre-press mold is highly recommended. A mold compacts your starting material into a dense, uniformly shaped puck that fits perfectly inside the bag.
