Who This Is For

  • Processors scaling from boutique hand-washing to commercial volume who cannot sacrifice extract purity
  • Labs experiencing inconsistent batch results due to fluctuations in ambient room temperature

What We Found

  • The bottom-mounted impeller geometry creates a vortex pattern that keeps plant material suspended without shredding.
  • The Chilled Osprey variant holds set points through back-to-back sessions where standard insulated tanks eventually drift.

What Users Say

  • Labs switching to the Osprey report they no longer discard batches due to water temperature spikes during the cycle
  • Users who transitioned from manual wash setups say the precise volumetric markings reduced their material waste by half

Lowtemp Industries Osprey™ - 75 Gallon Commercial Washing Machine

Commercial hash operations can't afford inconsistency — contaminated batches, unstable temperatures, and slow throughput cost time and product. The Osprey™ solves all three, providing a high-volume alternative to the Lowtemp Industries Mini Osprey 2.0 for larger extraction facilities. Backed by patent 12,528,028 and trusted by top solventless processors worldwide, this 75-gallon commercial washing machine delivers the yield and full-melt quality of hand washing at true production scale. With a capacity of 21,000g fresh frozen or 4,200g dry per batch, the Osprey™ is engineered for labs with demanding schedules and zero tolerance for downtime.

The Osprey™ is available in two configurations. The Standard Insulated Osprey features double-walled stainless steel with closed-cell foam blown into the jacket — capable of holding ice in a 70°F room for days. The Chilled Osprey upgrades that jacket with an incorporated baffle system pumped full of circulating chilled glycol, offering extended cold retention and the ability to gradually pull temperatures down over time. Both variants still require ice or a high-capacity recirculating chiller like the Lowtemp Industries 300 Gallon Chilled Water Skid System for the initial temp drop from tap to wash temps (60°F to 32°F).

At the core of the Osprey™ is Lowtemp's proprietary FloTex™ agitation technology — a bottom-mounted, low-shear impeller machined from a food-grade monolithic billet hard-anodized aluminum block. It's designed to maximize trichome separation while minimizing degradation, delivering full-melt quality at every run. Once you have finished your wash, you can press your high-quality hash using the Lowtemp Industries V2 4x7 20 Ton Rosin Press or the Lowtemp Industries V2 3x5 20 Ton Rosin Press. The machine is fully ready within 30 minutes of uncrating: fill it, turn it on, and start washing.

Features

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Standard Insulated Osprey and the Chilled Osprey?+

The Standard Osprey uses double-walled stainless steel with closed-cell foam blown into the jacket — highly effective at holding ice for extended periods in a 70°F environment. The Chilled Osprey replaces that foam jacket with a baffled system that circulates chilled glycol, offering longer cold retention and the ability to gradually pull temps down over time during extended sessions.

Both variants still require ice or a recirculating chiller to achieve the initial temperature drop from tap water (~60°F) down to wash temps (~32°F). The Chilled Osprey is the better choice for back-to-back runs or labs that need maximum thermal stability throughout long production days.

How quickly can I start washing after receiving the Osprey™?+

The Osprey™ is designed as a true turnkey system — you can be washing within 30 minutes of uncrating it. Simply uncrate, fill the tank, and start your wash cycle. No complex installation or calibration is required.

How much material can the Osprey™ process per batch?+

The Osprey™ handles up to 21,000g of fresh frozen material or 4,200g of dry material per batch. The tank includes volumetric markings to help you accurately measure water and ice volumes, ensuring consistent results run over run. Minimum recommended water volume per wash is 25–30 gallons for optimal extraction.

What power supply does the Osprey™ require?+

Both Osprey™ variants run on 230V power with an 8-amp peak and 3-amp continuous draw, using a standard 6-20P style plug. Ensure your facility has a 230V outlet accessible near your wash station before your unit arrives.

What is FloTex™ technology and why does it matter?+

FloTex™ is Lowtemp Industries' proprietary agitation system that powers the Osprey™. It uses a bottom-mounted, low-shear impeller machined from a food-grade monolithic billet hard-anodized aluminum block. The low-shear design maximizes trichome separation while minimizing mechanical degradation — producing full-melt quality hash comparable to hand washing at commercial scale.

Does the Osprey™ integrate with other Lowtemp equipment?+

Yes — the Osprey™ is designed as the centerpiece of the full Lowtemp Osprey ecosystem. It integrates directly with the Lowtemp Industries Nest Recirculation Collection Tank, the Lowtemp Industries AutoSieve Collection System, and the Lowtemp Industries 300 Gallon Chilled Water Skid System, enabling a complete wash, collect, and recirculate workflow in a single cohesive setup. Quick-clamp sanitary fittings make connecting and swapping components straightforward.

What is the warranty on the Osprey™?+

The Osprey™ is backed by a tiered warranty from Lowtemp Industries: 1 year full factory warranty, 2 years on electrical components and the motor, and a lifetime warranty on all fabrication, metal, and welds.
