A recent U.S. Department of Energy ruling now requires all dehumidifiers to be rated under AHAM standards (80°F, 60% RH) instead of the higher temperature and humidity levels previously used by the hydroponic industry. The unit itself has not changed — only the conditions under which the rated capacity is measured.
