FAQs

What is the actual power draw of this light?+

The HortiBloom Mega Eco draws 720 watts from the wall at full power, making it a true replacement for a traditional 1000W HPS fixture.

What is the ideal coverage area for flowering?+

For the best results during the flowering stage, this light provides a core coverage area of 4' x 4'. It can effectively cover up to a 5' x 5' area for vegetative growth.

How does the independent IR switch work?+

The IR switch allows you to add supplemental infrared light during the flowering cycle. This spectrum is known to help increase bud size and density, giving you more control over your final yield.

Can I connect this light to an external controller?+

Yes, the Mega Eco is equipped with a 0-10V RJ port, allowing you to connect it to most modern grow room controllers for centralized dimming and scheduling.

What makes the 'Eco' model different from other HortiBloom lights?+

The Mega Eco is designed to provide the best balance of performance and affordability. While the Mega Eco is optimized for value, growers seeking the highest output and advanced optics might consider the HortiBloom Mega Optic 720W.

Can I use this light for a full growth cycle?+

Absolutely. Its full-spectrum output is engineered to provide ideal light for every stage of plant growth, from germination and seedlings through the vegetative and flowering phases.

What are the benefits of LED over traditional HPS lights?+

LED grow lights like the Mega Eco offer several advantages, including significantly lower energy consumption, reduced heat output (making climate control easier), a much longer lifespan, and more targeted light spectrums.
