The ideal micron size depends on your goal. The 220μ bag is the 'work bag' that holds the plant material, while lower micron sizes (e.g., 25μ, 45μ, 73μ) capture different grades of trichomes. Our Classic bags, like this one, feature a durable nylon sidewall with a mesh screen only at the bottom. This design offers excellent durability. In contrast, our Full Mesh bags have mesh all around, which allows for faster water drainage during the extraction process. The choice often comes down to personal preference and technique.
This bag is specifically designed for 32-gallon vessels. Using it in a much smaller container can cause it to bunch up, leading to inefficient filtration. We recommend matching the bag size to your vessel size and also offer 5-gallon bags and 20-gallon bags for smaller setups.
After each use, rinse the bag thoroughly with cold water to remove all plant debris and resin. For a deeper clean, you can use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (99%) and a soft brush, followed by a final rinse with cold water. Always hang the bag to air dry completely before storing to prevent mold or mildew.
