THROUGH THE Cultivator's LENS Hands-On Evaluation

  • You are using proactive preventative sprays because root rot pathogens have already compromised your previous harvests.
  • You are switching to a dual action fungicide because your existing contact-only treatments fail to stop infection cycles.

  • The chemistry is effective because it oxidizes cell membranes on contact while working systemically from within.
  • We recommend this for growers who need to stop oomycetes like Pythium before visible wilting occurs.

  • Users dealing with recurring Pythium outbreaks say they finally stopped seeing root browning after switching to this.
  • Growers report that their crops recovered from early signs of downy mildew within one treatment cycle.

BioSafe Systems OxiPhos - 2.5 Gallons

Oomycete pathogens like Pythium, Phytophthora, and downy mildew can wipe out a crop before growers even see visible symptoms above the soil line. BioSafe OxiPhos stops that threat with a dual mode of action, combining systemic and contact activity so pathogens are attacked both inside the plant and on contact.

Once absorbed, OxiPhos's potassium phosphite metabolizes into phosphorus acid, which cuts off the energy production pathogens need to survive while directly blocking the enzymes essential to their growth. At the same time, its hydrogen peroxide component oxidizes pathogen cell membranes on contact, delivering one of the fastest cell inactivation processes available. EPA-registered for a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops, OxiPhos is approved for ground sprays, chemigation, in-furrow applications, and postharvest use on select crops.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does OxiPhos protect against? +

OxiPhos targets oomycete pathogens including Pythium (root rots and blights), Phytophthora, and downy mildew. Its dual mode of action helps manage these diseases across a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops.

How does OxiPhos's dual mode of action work? +

OxiPhos works systemically once absorbed, metabolizing into phosphorus acid that blocks pathogen energy production and key enzymes. Its hydrogen peroxide component also works on contact, oxidizing pathogen cell membranes for rapid inactivation.

Is OxiPhos EPA registered? +

Yes, OxiPhos is EPA-registered for use on a wide array of agricultural and horticultural crops. It's approved for ground sprays, chemigation, in-furrow applications, and postharvest use on select crops.

How can I apply OxiPhos? +

OxiPhos can be applied via ground sprays, chemigation, and in-furrow methods. It's also approved for postharvest use on select crops.

Why does OxiPhos act so quickly against pathogens? +

The hydrogen peroxide in OxiPhos has a high oxidation potential, allowing it to damage pathogen cell membranes through a redox reaction almost immediately on contact. This makes it one of the fastest-acting pathogen inactivation processes available.

What size does OxiPhos come in? +

OxiPhos is available in a 2.5 Gallon size, weighing 25 lbs with dimensions of 14 × 9 × 7 in. This size suits both commercial and larger-scale grow operations.
