Who This Is For

  • You are choosing a pump for a smaller reservoir because your current unit is too powerful and keeps disturbing your root zones.
  • You are building a custom plumbing loop because you need the flexibility to switch between submersible and in-line operation.

What We Found

  • The oil-free rotor design is a real win because it keeps your water clean without the risk of motor leaks.
  • We like that the suction cups are actually effective at keeping the pump locked in place during long runs.

What Users Say

  • Users with tight setup spaces say they appreciate how the compact dimensions fit into their smaller reservoirs.
  • Buyers report the ceramic shaft handles continuous duty cycles without showing signs of premature wear.

AquaVita 528 Submersible Water Pump (528GPH)

Smaller aquariums and compact hydroponic reservoirs don't need commercial-grade output — they need a pump sized right for the tank, without wasted power draw or oversized flow that disturbs delicate root systems. The AquaVita 528 fits that niche precisely, delivering 528 gallons per hour of flow and a 7.55 ft maximum lift in a compact housing that measures just 6.5" x 5.5" x 4" and weighs 2.8 lbs.

The AquaVita 528 switches between submersible and in-line operation by removing the front cover to expose the inlet valve, so it adapts to however your setup is plumbed. A ceramic shaft and sealed bearing are built for continuous runtime, and an oil-free, high-magnetic rotor delivers strong output without the mess or environmental downside of an oiled motor. A removable foam filter is pre-installed to keep debris away from the impeller, and the adjustable suction-cup base anchors the pump so it stays put during operation. At 35W — the lowest draw in the AquaVita lineup — it includes a 10' grounded power cord and ships with a full set of 1/2" and 3/4" inlet and outlet fittings.
