Setup and Maintenance

System Setup Steps:

  1. Prepare Pots: Attach the necessary fittings to the pots.
  2. Connect the System: Use piping to connect the pots and the header pot to establish the recirculating network.
  3. Install Air System: Set up the air pump and connect it to the air rings in the pots.
  4. Integrate Pumps: Install the water pump for recirculation.
  5. Fill the System: Add water and nutrients to the system.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Maintain water temperature between 18-20°C (64-68°F).
  • Allow nutrients to recirculate before testing and adjusting pH/EC.
  • When planting, use a substrate layer in the net pot, water the cutting, and fill the remaining space.

The Alien V-SYSTEM uses a venturi pump to create a vortex that draws oxygen into the water, eliminating the need for a separate air pump. Both are excellent systems, but the V-SYSTEM is often preferred for its even lower maintenance and heat reduction.

What size grow tent is recommended for the 3 Pot system?+

The minimum footprint is approximately 3' x 5', but it can be expanded to about 6' x 6.5'. For the minimum size, a 4' x 6' or 5' x 5' grow tent would be suitable. For a wider plant spacing, an 8' x 8' tent would provide ample room for both the system and your plants to flourish.
