Setup and Maintenance

System Setup Steps:

  1. Prepare Pots: Attach the necessary Dual-Flow™ fittings to the pots.
  2. Connect System: Use the provided piping to connect the pots and the header pot to establish the recirculating network.
  3. Install Air System: Set up the air pump and connect it to the JET-STREAM A.I.R.™ rings in the pots.
  4. Integrate Water Pump: Install the water pump for continuous nutrient circulation.
  5. Fill the System: Add water and your preferred nutrients to the system.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Maintain water temperature between 64-68°F (18-20°C) for optimal root health.
  • Always add nutrients to the system and allow them to fully circulate before testing and adjusting pH/EC levels.
  • When planting, use a light substrate layer in the net pot, water the cutting, and then fill the remaining space with your substrate.
  • Drain the system as needed by connecting a pipe to the designated fitting on the header pot.
  • Use preventative root health solutions to maintain a clean and efficient system.

Both are high-performance systems, but they differ in their oxygenation method. The RDWC uses JET-STREAM A.I.R.™ rings powered by an air pump, while the Alien V-SYSTEM uses a Venturi effect that requires no air pump.
