1. Prepare Pots

Attach the necessary fittings to the pots.

2. Connect the System

Use piping to connect the pots and the header pot to establish the recirculating network.

3. Install Air System

Set up the air pump and connect it to the air stones in the pots.

4. Integrate Pumps

Install the water pump(s) for recirculation and chilling (if applicable).

5. Set Up Nutrient Tank

Connect the nutrient tank to the system.

6. Fill the System

Add water to the system.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Maintain a 50-75cm center distance between each pot.
  • Alien Hydroponics recommends a watering frequency of one minute every hour.
  • Regularly check the filter for debris.
  • Minimal cleaning is required when using mineral-based nutrients.
  • Flush the system between crop cycles with clean water and disinfectant.

Aeroponics is a method of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil. The AERO System works by suspending plant roots in the air within the pots and spraying them with a fine, nutrient-rich mist at regular intervals. Is the AERO system suitable for beginners?+

Yes, absolutely. The Alien AERO system is designed for easy, glue-free assembly and straightforward maintenance. The automated misting schedule and efficient design take much of the guesswork out of hydroponics, making it a great choice for both new and experienced growers.

What else do I need to get started?+

The kit is comprehensive, but you will need to supply your own nutrient reservoir/tank, nutrients, and grow medium (like clay pebbles). For this 4-pot system, we recommend a reservoir of at least 30 gallons, such as the Alien GardenTank.

How much water can I expect to save?+

Aeroponic systems are incredibly water-efficient. Compared to traditional soil gardening, the AERO System can use up to 95% less water because the nutrient solution is recirculated and delivered directly to the roots with minimal waste.

Can I expand this 4-pot system later?+
