Who This Is For

  • You are scaling your reservoir array because managing multiple lines with simple tees causes pressure drops across your furthest sites.
  • You are upgrading your aeration manifold because adjusting flow to individual buckets currently requires you to disconnect lines and lose system pressure.

What We Found

  • The double-barbed fittings grab the vinyl tubing tightly and hold firm even when the air pressure kicks in at high volume.
  • This copper and stainless steel build is the only way to avoid the slow corrosion we see with cheaper plastic manifolds in humid rooms.

What Users Say

  • Growers who integrated these into their DWC setups report that being able to isolate a single bucket for cleaning without killing aeration to the others saves them hours during maintenance cycles.
  • Users managing large-format air pumps say this unit finally allowed them to utilize their pump's full output capacity across a wider range of individual airstones.

Active Aqua 12-Outlet Metal Air Manifold

Splitting a single air pump output across multiple reservoir sites with basic tee fittings works — until you need to shut off one site, adjust flow to another, or add a new line without disturbing the rest of the system. The Active Aqua 12-Outlet Metal Air Manifold solves all three problems in a single component, distributing the output of any air pump across up to 12 individually controllable outlets. Each outlet opens and closes independently, giving growers precise per-site aeration control without disconnecting any lines or interrupting the rest of the system. Whether you're managing a 12-bucket DWC array, a centralized setup utilizing an Active Aqua 100-gallon reservoir, or a mixed system where some sites need more airflow than others, the manifold makes fine-tuning aeration distribution a matter of turning a valve rather than replumbing the system.

Construction is a high-quality blend of copper and stainless steel — corrosion-resistant materials suited for the humid, moisture-heavy conditions of an active grow room environment. Double-barbed ends on each outlet create a tight seal with airline tubing, reducing the risk of slow leaks and pressure loss at connections that would degrade aeration performance across the array over time. The input accepts 3/8" internal diameter tubing — standard for larger-format air pumps including the Active Aqua Dual Diaphragm model — and each output is sized for 0.17" internal diameter tubing, matching the Active Aqua vinyl tubing used with round air stones and diffusers throughout the Active Aqua aeration lineup.

For commercial operations running the Active Aqua 12W 8-outlet air pump or the Dual Diaphragm 25 L/min unit, the 12-outlet manifold extends per-pump distribution well beyond what the pump's native outlets can support — turning a 4-outlet pump into a 12-site aeration controller without adding a second pump to the circuit. Individual outlet shutoffs also make system expansion and maintenance significantly more manageable: new sites can be added by opening a closed outlet, and individual 4-inch air stones can be serviced or replaced without shutting down the entire aeration circuit.

Features

🎛️
12 Individually Controlled Outlets

Each outlet opens and closes independently for precise per-site aeration control — shut off individual lines, adjust flow distribution, or isolate a site for maintenance without disrupting the rest of the system.

🔩
Copper & Stainless Steel

High-quality copper and stainless steel construction resists corrosion in the humid, moisture-heavy conditions of an active grow room — built to hold up under continuous use across multiple production cycles.

🔒
Double-Barbed Ends

Double-barbed fittings on each outlet create a tight seal with airline tubing — reducing slow leaks and pressure loss at connections that would degrade aeration performance across the array over time.

🔀
Extends Pump Distribution

Converts a single pump output into 12 independently controlled aeration lines — turning a 4-outlet pump into a 12-site controller without adding a second pump to the circuit.

🔧
Standard Tubing Compatible

Input accepts 3/8" ID tubing standard for larger-format air pumps; outputs sized for 0.17" ID tubing matching standard Active Aqua airline tubing and air stone connections throughout the lineup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this manifold with any air pump?+

Yes, as long as your pump uses 3/8" ID output tubing on its outlet — the standard size for larger-format air pumps including the Active Aqua Dual Diaphragm models (for which we also carry replacement diaphragms) and 12W 8-outlet models. Smaller pumps using 1/4" output tubing would require an adapter to connect to the manifold's 3/8" input. Confirm your pump's outlet tubing size before ordering to ensure a direct connection.

Does closing some outlets increase airflow to the remaining open ones?+

Yes. When outlets are closed, the pump's total output is redistributed across fewer open lines — increasing the airflow available to each active outlet. This is useful for systems that don't need all 12 sites running simultaneously, or for temporarily boosting aeration to specific reservoirs without adjusting the pump's pressure dial. Keep in mind that closing too many outlets can increase back-pressure on the pump beyond its rated operating range.

What tubing do I need for the outlets?+

Each outlet is sized for 0.17" internal diameter airline tubing — the same ID as standard Active Aqua clear vinyl tubing used throughout the Active Aqua air stone and aeration accessory lineup. No adapters are needed to connect directly to standard ¼" OD hydroponic airline tubing at each outlet.

Should I use check valves on the outlet lines?+

Yes — inline check valves on each outlet line are strongly recommended whenever the pump and manifold are positioned at or below the reservoir waterline. A power interruption without check valves can allow nutrient solution to back-siphon through multiple open outlet lines simultaneously and into the manifold and pump body. With 12 outlets in use, the potential for back-siphon damage is compounded — check valves are a standard and essential addition to any multi-outlet aeration installation.

Is this manifold suitable for saltwater or nutrient-rich solutions?+

The manifold is constructed from copper and stainless steel — both of which offer corrosion resistance in humid grow room environments. However, direct submersion in saltwater or high-concentration nutrient solution is not recommended for copper components, as prolonged exposure can cause gradual degradation. The manifold is designed for air distribution above the waterline, not for direct contact with solution in your Active Aqua reservoir.

How do I mount or position the manifold in my grow room?+

The manifold's compact 9.5" × 1.5" profile makes it easy to mount on a wall, bench frame, or reservoir edge above the waterline using standard zip ties, clamps, or mounting brackets. Positioning it above the waterline is important both for preventing solution contact with the metal components and for ensuring that check valves on the outlet lines can function correctly to prevent back-siphon during power interruptions.
