THROUGH THE Cultivator's LENS Highlights

  • You are mixing a simple two part feed program because Vivosun Base A and B uses equal amounts from seedling to harvest.
  • You are feeding plants across soil, hydroponics, or coco coir because Vivosun Base A and B is 100 percent water soluble.

  • The label feeding schedule scales from 1 to 3 ml per gallon for seedlings and clones up to 9 to 14 ml per gallon during early flower.
  • Calcium and phosphate react with each other in concentrated form, which is why Vivosun keeps them in separate bottles.

  • Users report that switching to this two-part system removed the guesswork from their feeding schedules.
  • Growers who used to struggle with nutrient balancing say this system made their daily maintenance routine much faster.

Vivosun Base A & B 2-Part Liquid Nutrient Kit

Building a feed program from a shelf full of separate bottles makes it easy to miss a nutrient or overdo another. Vivosun Nutrients Base A & B simplifies the foundation to two bottles, used in equal amounts from seedling to harvest. Base A (4-0-1) supplies nitrate nitrogen and 4.5% calcium. Base B (1-4-2) delivers phosphate, potash, magnesium, and molybdenum. Together they provide the essential macro and micronutrients plants need through vegetative growth and flowering.

Calcium and phosphate can react with each other in concentrated form, which is why Vivosun keeps them in separate bottles. Add Base A to your water first, then Base B, and stir thoroughly. Never mix the two concentrates directly together. The label's feeding schedule scales from 1–3 ml/gal per part for seedlings and clones up to 9–14 ml/gal during early flower, then tapers to 7–10 ml/gal for flowering weeks 5–8.

Vivosun Base A & B is 100% water-soluble and works in soil, hydroponics, and coco coir. It suits vegetables, herbs, flowers, ornamentals, and other plants, and is designed to be used every time you water. If plants show signs of stress, or you're growing in very bright, hot, or dry conditions, reduce nutrient strength. The bundle is available in 8 oz, 32 oz (1 quart), and 1 gallon sizes, with one bottle of each part.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I mix Base A and Base B? +

Shake both bottles well. Add Base A to your water first, then add an equal amount of Base B, and stir the mixture thoroughly. Never combine the two concentrates directly. After mixing, ensure your solution is at the correct acidity using a pH adjustment kit.

Why are Base A and Base B in separate bottles? +

Base A carries calcium, while Base B carries phosphate and magnesium. Keeping them separate until they're diluted in water prevents these nutrients from reacting in concentrated form, so every element stays available to your plants.

How much should I use at each stage? +

Use equal amounts of each part. Start at 1–3 ml/gal for seedlings and clones (weeks 1–2), then 5–9 ml/gal for vegetative weeks 1–4. Increase to 9–14 ml/gal for flowering weeks 1–4, and taper to 7–10 ml/gal for flowering weeks 5–8.

How often should I feed with Base A & B? +

For best results, use Base A & B every time you water. To maintain the perfect environment, monitor your nutrient solution with a digital pH meter as it forms your base nutrient program, covering plants' core nutritional needs from seedling through the end of flowering.

When should I reduce nutrient strength? +

Lower the dose if plants show signs of stress, or if you're growing in very bright, hot, or dry environments. Plants in these conditions can take up nutrients differently, so a lighter feed helps prevent burn.

Which growing mediums is it compatible with? +

Vivosun Base A & B can be used in all mediums, including soil, hydroponics, and coco coir. It's 100% water-soluble and mixes cleanly into reservoirs and watering cans.

Can I use Base A & B with other additives? +

Yes. Base A & B is designed as your foundation, and supplements like Vivosun Cal+Mag+Iron or Bloom Juice can be layered on top as needed. For extra plant strength, you can also add Vivosun StemX Liquid Silica.

How should I store the nutrients? +

Store both bottles in a cool, dark place and keep them out of reach of children. Shake well before each use, since ingredients can settle over time.
