THROUGH THE Cultivator's LENS Hands-On Evaluation

  • You are clearing out large-scale flooding or pond water because you need a high-capacity pump that wont burn out after an hour of use.
  • You are draining deep reservoirs or pits because your current setup cannot handle the lift required to move water to ground level.

  • The bottom-inlet design is the real difference here, letting you pull water down to within a few inches of the floor.
  • The ceramic shaft and rare earth rotor pairing makes a massive difference in how quiet this pump runs under a full load.

  • Basement owners who swapped out cheaper hardware say they finally stopped dealing with burnt-out motors mid-drain.
  • Pond managers report that the internal safety thermostat prevents them from losing the motor during overnight jobs.

AquaVita 1585 Sump Pump (1585GPH)

Large-scale drainage jobs — flooded basements, big ponds, or draining a full pool — need more than a hobby-grade pump can move. The AquaVita 1585 Sump Pump delivers 1,585 gallons per hour with a maximum lift of 12.47 ft, providing significantly more power than the AquaVita 925 Sump Pump, all housed in rust-proof stainless steel built for continuous heavy-duty use.

A bottom-inlet design lets the AquaVita 1585 draw water from low levels other pumps can't reach, while still generating high lift and powerful flow. While it offers the same volume as the AquaVita 1585 submersible water pump, this sump model is specifically optimized for rapid drainage and high-lift applications. Inside, a rare earth rotor and wear-resistant ceramic shaft keep the pump energy efficient even at this higher output, and an epoxy resin sealed motor delivers a water-tight seal with low operating noise. A built-in thermostat adds an extra layer of safety and reliability, shutting the motor down before it overheats. Every AquaVita 1585 ships with a 1" fitting and a garden hose adapter that converts a standard garden hose for use with the pump — additional adapters are available separately. At 105W, it includes an 11.5' grounded power cord.
