ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) has higher impact resistance and better tolerance for temperature changes than HIPS (High-Impact Polystyrene), which is the material used in most budget reservoirs. For grow room use, where ambient temperatures fluctuate and reservoirs are regularly moved, filled, and cleaned, ABS holds up significantly better over time.
