Who This Is For

You are checking leaf and air temperature because the guesswork in your grow space costs you yield.
You are targeting hard-to-reach surfaces because the 12-to-1 distance-to-spot ratio maintains accuracy from afar.

What We Found

The 13-point circular laser pinpoints your measurement target while high and low alerts flash red when readings exceed your range.

What Users Say

Growers who track leaf VPD report they catch environmental imbalances before plant stress sets in across the canopy
Users tracking multiple rooms say the fast 5-second readings speed up their daily climate checks considerably

VIVOSUN VPD Infrared Laser Thermometer

Guesswork in your grow space costs you yield. The VIVOSUN VSE-VT001 VPD Thermometer delivers fast 5-second readings across a -58°F to 896°F (-50°C to 480°C) range, tracking leaf and air VPD, ambient and leaf temperature, and humidity so you can make precise adjustments before plant stress sets in. For continuous climate tracking via your smartphone, consider adding the Vivosun AeroLab THB1S Bluetooth Hygro-Thermometer to your setup.

A 13-point laser targets your exact measurement spot from a safe distance, backed by a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio for accuracy even on hard-to-reach surfaces. Adjustable emissivity from 0.1 to 1.00 (default 0.98) lets you dial in readings on virtually any material, making the VSE-VT001 equally useful for HVAC checks, electrical testing, and kitchen tasks beyond the grow room.

The backlit LCD stays readable in low light, stores up to 5 past readings for quick comparison, and powers down automatically after 30 seconds to save battery. Built-in high/low alerts flash a red indicator the moment your readings move outside your set range, so problems get caught early.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is VPD and why does it matter for my plants?+

VPD, or vapor pressure deficit, measures the gap between the moisture in the air and the moisture a leaf can hold. Monitoring leaf and air VPD helps you adjust temperature and humidity for optimal growth and nutrient absorption, especially when using high-intensity lighting like the Vivosun AeroLight 120W LED Grow Light.

Can I use this thermometer outside of plant care?+

Yes. With adjustable emissivity from 0.1 to 1.00, the VSE-VT001 works well for HVAC checks, electrical testing, and monitoring airflow in ventilation systems like the Vivosun AeroZesh T4 Smart Air Filtration PRO Kit.

How accurate is the laser targeting?+

A 13-point circular laser indicator pinpoints your exact measurement area, and a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio lets you take safe, accurate readings from a distance without getting close to the surface.

How fast are the readings?+

The VSE-VT001 delivers readings in under 500ms, with full temperature results in about 5 seconds across its -58°F to 896°F range.

What happens if a reading goes outside my target range?+

The unit flashes a red indicator and sounds a high/low alert whenever a reading moves outside the range you've set, so you can catch issues before they affect your plants.

Does it come with batteries?+

Yes, the VSE-VT001 ships with the 2 × 1.5V AAA batteries it requires, so it's ready to use right out of the box.

How many past readings can it store?+

The thermometer stores up to 5 previous readings, making it easy to compare results without writing them down.
