Switching between wet and dry trimming requires installing the appropriate grate for your material type and adjusting your airflow, rotor speed, and blade depth settings. The machine comes with both grates, and the transition takes just a few minutes once you're familiar with the process.

Batch time depends on bud size, density, leaf quantity, and moisture content. Start with 45-60 seconds for dry material and 45-90 seconds for wet material, then adjust based on results. Denser buds or those with more leaf coverage may need longer cycles, while smaller or less leafy buds trim faster.

As leaf material is trimmed, it enters the filtration system where varying micron-level bags separate the material. Airflow from the fan blade agitates the leaf, shaking and pressing it through the bags. You'll collect two bags of leaf trim and two bags of kief, allowing you to process secondary products efficiently.

No, not when properly adjusted. For strains with irregular shapes, dial down the blade depth to create more clearance from the grate, preventing the blade from cutting the bud tips. You can also slow the rotor speed to minimize agitation and reduce potential contact damage.

For dense, compact buds, tighten the blade depth closer to the grate for a closer trim. For airy or looser buds, increase the blade clearance and potentially adjust airflow to prevent over-agitation. Dense buds typically handle higher rotor speeds, while lighter buds benefit from gentler settings to maintain structure.

Adjust the inner lids to control airflow—open lids create more suction, while closed lids produce more vortex. For larger buds, you may want more vortex to keep them moving, while smaller buds benefit from increased suction to prevent them from bouncing excessively. Use the airflow controller to find the optimal balance for your specific material.

The Satellite requires 120 VAC, 60 HZ, single phase power with a 10 amp circuit. It draws 1200 watts during operation and includes a 9-foot power cord. All electrical components are UL certified for safety and reliability.
