VIVOSUN Irrigation Systems: Complete Guide
Choosing a VIVOSUN Irrigation System
The right VIVOSUN irrigation setup comes down to pot count and reservoir capacity. The FlexFeed pump and reservoir tank are sold separately so you can size each independently. Match total reservoir gallons to the volume you want to deliver between fills; match pump tubing layout to your pot count.
Irrigation Sizing
| Pot Count | Reservoir Size | Recommended Setup |
|---|---|---|
| 1-4 pots | 5 gallon DIY | FlexFeed 4W |
| 4-8 pots | 53 gallon | FlexFeed 4W + 53 gal Barrel |
| 6-10 pots | 100 gallon | FlexFeed 4W + 100 gal Barrel |
How FlexFeed Cycles
FlexFeed is a programmable pump that fires on a set schedule, delivering a fixed volume of water through the connected dripper tubing on each cycle. The cycle schedule is set on the pump face: number of cycles per day and seconds-per-cycle duration. A typical 4x4 tent with four 5-gallon pots runs 4 cycles per day at 30 seconds each, delivering roughly 0.5 gallons per pot per day. The 4W brushless motor draws minimal power and runs quietly enough to leave in a residential grow space.
For broader irrigation automation context, see the TrolMaster Aqua-X irrigation guide which covers sensor-driven irrigation patterns.
