The Pharmaceutical series is purpose-built for preserving delicate botanical and pharmaceutical compounds. Unlike the home Pro line — optimized for food — it uses precise vacuum pressure and controlled drying temperature to protect heat-sensitive materials. Enzymes, terpenes, and active compounds that would be degraded by conventional drying are preserved intact through the entire cycle.

The Large processes 12–14 lbs of wet material per cycle across its eight stainless steel trays (10.25 sq ft total tray space), yielding approximately 3–3.5 lbs of finished dry product. This is the highest capacity in the Pharmaceutical line — roughly double the Medium's output per batch.

The Large Pharmaceutical model runs on standard 110V household power but requires an included adapter for proper connection. A dedicated 20-amp circuit is recommended for optimal performance. The adapter ensures the unit receives the correct power configuration for its larger capacity and 6-liter ice chamber.

A complete freeze-dry cycle typically finishes within 20–24 hours depending on the material and its moisture content. Once started, the process runs automatically with no hands-on supervision required.

The included Premier pump is reliable and well-suited for regular use — oil changes take about two minutes every 20–25 batches. At the Large's capacity level, many commercial operations choose the oil-free upgrade to eliminate any downtime between batches. If you're running the Large daily or near-daily, the maintenance-free operation is a worthwhile investment.

The Large is the right choice for commercial botanical processors, pharmaceutical operations, or high-volume producers who need the maximum throughput the Pharmaceutical line offers. If you're regularly running the Medium at full capacity or processing multiple batches to keep up with demand, the Large's 12–14 lb per cycle output will significantly reduce your batch count and total processing time.
