The Harvest Right Large Commercial Scientific Freeze Dryer comes with a full one-year warranty from the original ship date covering the freeze dryer and oil-free vacuum pump against defects in workmanship or materials. Years two and three include a limited warranty on the sealed refrigeration system — compressor, condenser, evaporator, and tubing. After the first year, consumers are responsible for diagnostic charges and transportation costs. Warranty applies to the continental U.S. 48 states.
The Large offers substantially more capacity — 6 trays and 3.5–6.5 gallons per batch versus the Medium's 5 trays and 1–2 gallons. Both share the same advanced control features including 120 preset memory, automated cycle management, and the 4.3" touchscreen, but the Large is built for operations that consistently need to process larger volumes in a single run.
This is the range of wet material you can process per batch, depending on the density and moisture content of your materials. The 3.5-gallon figure reflects the ice capacity of the collector, while the full six-tray setup can accommodate up to 6.5 gallons of wet material. Denser, less moisture-heavy materials will sit closer to the upper end of that range.
Yes. The Large requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit with a NEMA 5-20 outlet at standard 115V. Most modern laboratories and commercial facilities either already have these circuits or can have one installed by a licensed electrician. Extension cords are not recommended.

If the Medium's 1–2 gallon capacity is a bottleneck, the Large more than doubles it. If you regularly need more than 6.5 gallons per batch, the X-Large at 7–9 gallons is the better choice.
