In dense canopy environments, the lower plant tiers receive reduced light intensity and significantly less airflow compared to the top canopy — resulting in smaller, looser buds that finish later and inconsistently. The Model 5 addresses both issues in a single fixture by combining a targeted under canopy grow light with a built-in aluminum ventilation tube, so lower buds develop more evenly and finish closer to top-tier quality.

The 4ft model runs at 125W with 80% Deep Red + Full Spectrum output (PPF: 350 μmol/s, PPE: 3.01 μmol/J) and supports up to 18 units per daisy chain at 277V — suited for rows with higher fixture density. The 8ft model runs at 250W with Full Spectrum + Far Red output (PPF: 700 μmol/s, PPE: 3.03 μmol/J) and supports up to 8 units per chain at 277V, covering longer row spans with fewer connection points. Both share the same IP65 rating, passive thermal design, RJ-12 data connection, 0-10V dimming, and 5-year warranty.

Fans are sold separately. The Model 5 is fully compatible with the GrowPros Solutions Quetzalcoatl Air Circulation System as well as other compatible inline or duct fans. Each fixture includes the built-in aluminum ventilation tube and rubber duct connectors for multi-unit row extension — the fan source is selected based on your room layout and airflow path requirements.

Power and data are routed through the same RJ-12 connection, simplifying multi-unit installation. Use the GrowPros Solutions 2 in 1 Data Cord Y-splitter to manage all units from a single controller. Do not exceed the daisy chain limits for your voltage — the 4ft model supports up to 18 units at 277V and the 8ft model supports up to 8 units at 277V. The fixture is easy to clean, operates between 0°F and 104°F, and its passive thermal management design has no active cooling components that could be compromised by humidity.

Both the 4ft and 8ft Model 5 are ETL Listed, FCC certified, and DLC Listed. DLC listing is commonly required for utility rebate programs on commercial horticultural lighting and can meaningfully offset installation costs in eligible facilities. Each Model 5 fixture includes a built-in aluminum tube that forms part of the continuous air path along the row. Units connect end-to-end using rubber duct connectors, creating an uninterrupted ventilation channel from one end of the row to the other. Air from an external fan source travels through this connected system, moving consistently across the full under canopy length to reduce stagnant pockets and support even microclimate conditions around all lower-tier plants.
