THROUGH THE Cultivator's LENS Product Evaluation

  • You are upgrading to a high-intensity fixture because your current light cannot maintain a uniform output across a 5x5 space.
  • You are switching to a smart-controlled system because manually adjusting dimmers across multiple zones is slowing down your workflow.

  • The multi-bar design helps by spreading out the diodes, which fixes the common problem of hot spots in the center.
  • Using the mobile app for your light cycles allows for sunrise and sunset simulations that reduce stress on your plants.

  • Growers who moved to the app-based scheduling say they stopped worrying about manual timers failing or drifting off schedule.
  • Users who set up the daisy chain system report that managing multiple fixtures from one point saved them significant labor.

Spider Farmer SE7000 | 730W Smart App Control LED Grow Light

The Spider Farmer SE7000 delivers a high-intensity 2146 μmol/S output for commercial and professional home growers targeting maximum yields in 4x4 or 5x5 spaces. This 730W fixture utilizes a bar-style design to ensure uniform light distribution across the entire canopy. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity allow for remote scheduling and real-time environmental responses via a dedicated mobile application.

Features

Smart App Ecosystem

Manage brightness and timing remotely via WiFi or Bluetooth. The app supports unified control for large-scale installations across multiple zones.

Automated Light Cycles

Schedule on/off times and brightness targets with precision. Sunrise and sunset simulation modes gradually adjust intensity to reduce plant stress during transitions.

Thermal Safety Protection

The system includes automatic dimming and shut-off triggers. If temperatures exceed safe thresholds, the light dims or turns off to protect the crop.

Passive Heat Dissipation

Large aluminum heat sinks and an open-bar structure manage heat without mechanical fans. This silent operation reduces ambient noise and improves fixture longevity.

In Detail

Spider Farmer SE7000 full-spectrum LED grow light with multiple illuminated bars, emitting red and white light.

The SE7000 utilizes a multi-bar architecture to solve the common issue of central hotspots and shadowed corners. By spreading Bridgelux diodes across a wider frame, the fixture maintains a consistent PPFD of 959 µmol/m²/s across a 4x4 footprint. This uniformity ensures that peripheral plants develop at the same rate as those directly under the center. The passive cooling system relies on the physical surface area of the aluminum bars to manage the 730W thermal load.

  • Maintains 2.9 μmol/J efficiency across all dimming levels
  • Supports daisy-chaining up to 50 fixtures for unified facility management
  • Full spectrum output including 660nm deep red for flower development
  • Digital dimmer box provides precise 1% increment adjustments
  • Real-time PPFD monitoring capability when paired with an external sensor

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the app require a constant WiFi connection to run schedules?

The internal controller stores your schedules once programmed, but a WiFi or Bluetooth connection is required to make real-time adjustments or monitor status remotely.

How does the overheat protection dimming work?

The fixture monitors ambient temperature and will automatically reduce brightness or turn off the light if it detects an overshoot, preventing heat damage to your canopy.

Can I use this light without the mobile app?

Yes, the physical dimmer box allows for manual control of intensity, though scheduling and advanced automation features require the app interface.

Is a separate controller needed to daisy chain multiple units?

No, you can daisy chain up to 50 fixtures using the included RJ12 cables, allowing one master light or the mobile app to control the entire group.

Why does the app show a PPFD display if a sensor is required?

The app interface includes a PPFD readout field, but it will only populate with live data if you have the compatible Spider Farmer sensor connected to the system.

What is the benefit of the bar design over a traditional board?

The bar design allows for passive airflow between the LEDs, which significantly reduces heat buildup and allows for more uniform light distribution across a 4x4 or 5x5 area.

Awsome light thus far!!

I purchased the SE7000 a couple months ago, it's perfect foot print for my 5x5 tent. It's super bright, I have it dimmed to 50% and my plants are thriving!!! It was easy to put together, and install, easy to make height adjustments, it hooked up to my controller seamlessly and looks really cool too. This a well constructed, quality fixture.

SE 7000

I received this light and the dimmer switch was not dimming. It was at 100% all the time, I sent a video in to prove this. I contacted trim leaf and was made aware that the dimmer switch would be replaced that was 3 weeks ago and still have not received confirmation that the new switch has not been shipped.
